This purchase came about in a round about way. My wife and I were planning a trip to Las Vegas and I had read on a marriage message board previously about how it was possible to rent a Sybian in Las Vegas. The trip fell through but I asked my wife if that is something she would ever be interested in trying. To my surprise she said she would as long as she could be sure it was hygienic with a rented product. This surprised me somewhat and made me want to try something like that. My wife and I have a very good sex life and average around every other night. We are in our late 30s and have a pretty high maintenance 2 year old who she still breast feeds. With all that I think we are doing pretty good. Some nights she can orgasm very easily and multiple times and some nights it just isn't happening. My wife has a difficult time of just relaxing with having a breast feeding high energy 2 year old boy around. I bought this Magic Wand knowing that it was well reviewed and might be a good intermediate step until we get to try the Sybian. I told my wife I ordered it and she was on board but I could tell a little nervous as she has never liked vibrators in the past. We got the Wand and I could tell she was pretty nervous. I told her we would use it over her clothes on the low setting. We warmed up with some indirect stimulation around the vulva without direct contact on the clitoris. She immediately started saying it felt really nice and gave her a warm euphoric feeling. Pretty quickly she was ready for direct clitoral stimulation and the signs of impending orgasm started. She had a very powerful orgasm which she said actually knocked the wind out of her chest. From that point on she loved the Wand. The first night she 2 orgasms with the wand and 3 more with intercourse. The next night we tried it again and got 1 from the wand (stopped there) and 2 more from intercourse. She says she feels euphoric and in an almost drug like state when using it. What the Wand seems to do is prime the pump for intercourse orgasms to come after the first few are achieved with the Magic Wand. It doesn't seem to deaden any sensations or make it harder to achieve orgasm through other means, in fact it makes it easier. The way my wife described it to me is that the biggest hurdle to her achieving orgasm is relaxing and turning off all the mental stuff going on in her head. With the Magic Wand she says it is so powerful that she is going to orgasm no matter how relaxed she is, it is basically going to force it to happen. After that initial 1 or 2 orgasms she is relaxed and she can orgasm much easier the rest of the night. We've only had the Wand for a few days now so I can't comment on how durable it is, but I would highly recommend it based on our limited experiences.

Speed Controller Info - MUST READ
The wand is great, of course. Yes, this newer version is not quite what the earlier version was, but I knew that going in. The tell-tale silver sticker is there by the cord, as is the stamped serial number indication this is in fact genuine product. The speed control is what I'm really focusing on here, and I did knock off one star based only on that device. (I'd have only taken 1/2 a star had that been an option) Here's the deal. The speed control has a three position switch, which is good. Center position off, yes, good, but then it says "Multi Function On," and, "Multi Function Off," in the other two positions. Not a big deal as just plugging the wand in and trying them will allow you to discover quite easily that, "Multi Function," just refers to the ability to adjust the speed with the rheostat knob. Not enough to knock off a whole star, or even half, but it's less than 100% perfect none-the-less. The other thing though, is that when in "Multi Function," mode, turning the knob to it's highest setting will not allow the wand to run at it's maximum speed. Hitting the switch to flip it to the, "Multi Function Off," position will kick the wand up to it's maximum potential, but it is in fact quite a jump. Anyone searching for something between the maximum speed allowed when controlled by the knob, and the maximum potential of the wand by itself is out of luck. There are a couple other things I need to point out here that are *VERY* important. First off, I'll say that I tested the wands' output on the controller with it in the, "Multi Speed Off," position and with the wand plugged directly into the wall without the controller and there was no distinguishable difference in speed or power, so that's a really good thing. More importantly, however, is that I want to make it clear that you HAVE to use a motor controller to control the speed of an AC (Alternating Current) motor such as the one in this wand. (Also fans, blower motors, any motor that runs off of house current) You can NOT SAFELY USE A LIGHTING DIMMER OR SIMILAR! A.) You will eventually destroy the motor. B.) When the motor DOES eat itself, you could be hurt, possibly seriously! It's kind of funny because, I had been thinking of just using a router control. They are used to slow down single speed only routers, and are rated plenty high enough to handle a Magic Wand. I decided to get the wand and control packaged together because I couldn't beat the price by buying a router control separately. So sure enough, I get my new wand and control, and doesn't the control box say, "Router Control," right on the side?! I don't know if there is any practical way to get a full, smooth control of the motor speed all the way up to the wands maximum potential, and in no way wish to dissuade you from making this purchase. I'm just writing all of this so you'll know what this will and will NOT do, and much much more importantly, to let folks know that using lighting dimmers on a device like this is NOT SAFE!
