10 dimmers, 9 years, still working well!
I just purchased my 10th dimmer for the house, for the last fixture to be made dimmable. The first batch was installed in 2012, then a few more in 2015. All of them are still working and going strong. I have Elco and Halo ELV track lighting in my house. There is no buzzing. Dimming is perfect, smooth, linear. And they dim incredibly low. I use halogen bulbs throughout the house because I love the color temperature, especially at low light levels and I have yet to find an LED bulb to match this performance, especially the low level these dimmers can reach. I've tried to replace with LEDs on several occasions. Yeah, a few have flickered but many have not. It's not the fault of the dimmer or the bulb. These are complex electrical systems and some combinations work better than others. For me, the biggest issue with most LED bulbs is they don't go low enough. There are some integrated systems that do, but I'm not ready to replace my entire lighting system yet. I also love the locator light on these dimmers -- in the dark, your guests can always find the light switch because of the faint amber glow these emit. As some reviewers have mentioned, the locator light can cause problems with some LED bulbs, so you may want to choose the dimmer model without the locator light.

Pricey but fixed the humming!
I recently replaced 4 incandescent R20 style bulbs tied to a single switch, with some new Phillips dimmable LED bulbs but they were a bit too bright so I looked into dimmers. I bought Lutron DVCL-153PR for $24 which is identical to this one (albeit doesn't have white neutral wire) and when I installed the switch it technically worked, but the lights were putting out some pretty audible humming/buzzing through all dim ranges which was a no go. After doing some research I discovered these "ELV" versions apparently fix the humming. After installing this switch the lights work great and no buzzing! Installation wasn't too bad but would be nice if they made these switches with wire terminals instead of tails with twist caps. Feel of device and the actual switch feel/noise sound a bit cheaper than the standard paddle switch it replaced, however it does it's function well and has a non intrusive orange glow inside so you can see the switch in the dark.

Perfect Solution to Humming LED Problem
This dimmer is the greatest. I had installed 8 six inch LED recessed lights in my kitchen and used the dimmer the manufacturer recommended. To my horror, they all hummed at any dim level. My family could not live with the humming. I was dreading the fact that I might possibly have to replace them all with another type of lights. I did a bunch of internet research and learned about ELV dimmers. They are not cheap, but this one was one of the least expensive that appeared to be of good quality. I found this dimmer and bought it--my last hope! I was not disappointed. Amazon Prime ordered in the morning and had it in hand that evening! I did have to pull a new neutral white wire for it, since there was none in the box, but I got lucky and there was one a short distance away I could tap. Drumroll. I throw the switch. SILENCE! Ahhhh. This device saved me!! If humming LEDs is your problem, you have found your solution. Also, it doesn't say so in the doc, but this dimmer is lighted. It has a soft orange glow when it is turned off. You can see it in a dark room. It is handy. Cannor recommend this device highly enough!

THIS DIMMER STOPS ANY BUZZING!! ELV DIMMERS ARE THE BEST!!
So I bought a bunch of LED 6" lights and I installed the manufacturer's recommended dimmer from Lowe's. Buzzing at the switch itself was bad and it was also coming from the lights. I did research and apparently ELV dimmers are the solution. Specifically this Lutron brand ELV worked perfect. ZERO NOISE. I tried 3 other dimmers that said it worked with LED but all buzzed. ELV dimmers have a neutral wire and work with low voltage lights but this does not mean it doesn't run 120V. It does! Try it, you'll see what I'm saying.

Poor wiring instructions
The dimmer works fine but the wiring instructions are unclear and for some reason this is an expensive product compared with other LED dimmers. the dimmer doesn't come with a cover plate which is annoying.

Caused under-cabinet LED lights to flicker, then it died
I wanted this to dim the three LED under-cabinet lights I have in my kitchen. The installation was straightforward - my house is relatively new and has modern wiring, so my wall boxes all already have the necessary wires in the right colors. I had to identify the line and load wires, but this was easy. I previously tried a Lutron Maestro LED+ dimmer, and a Lutron Diva LED+ dimmer. Both of those dimmed the lights, but caused them to buzz as well. So I tried this dimmer switch after hearing it would solve the problem for sure. It did not. After installing it and turning the breaker back on, the lights flickered rapidly, and the dimmer function didn't work at all. I turned the circuit breaker off, uninstalled it, and triple-checked my wiring to confirm I had wired everything up correctly, then reconnected everything. This time, it didn't work at all. Using a multimeter, I could tell the switch was getting power and the on/off function should have been working, but the LED lights would not come on. I removed it and went back to a regular on/off switch, and the LED lights work again. Not sure exactly what happened with this switch, but I'm returning it.

Easy to install/Works well
This electronic low voltage dimmer works perfectly as expected of Lutron dimmers of all types. Easy to install with none of the hum or flickering affecting lower cost dimmers. Note, this dimmer requires a neutral.

Removed LED driver buzzing!
I tried various dimmers, but this one finally completely removed the LED driver buzzing in my bathroom vanity LED light fixture. It is the most affordable ($70) ELV i found that works.

small dimmer control / slider
The actual dimmer control is quite small and difficult to adjust especially when in the middle of a multiple switch plate.

Noise Free Dimmer
This dimmer is well made, easy to install, changes the brightness of LEDs very well, no light flickering at any brightness level and most importantly it is totally silent and doesn't cause any noise in the LED control boxes (unlike the cheaper version that you get at a hardware store). I will only buy ELV dimmers from now on. Totally worth the money. Also, the dimmer lights up orange when turned off.

Edison bulb winner
This was the only available dimmer recommended by the Edison bulbs I bought. I had tried other dimmers before this. They did not work. Works great and I even got a black one for $60. It went back up to $110 a week later.
