Not easy to read, as the description says. Number size is ok, buut background contrast is terrible.

I got this lock, for elder people, believing it would be easy for them to read the numbers as the description says. Both of them, told me they could not read the numbers because the dial contrast is terrible. It is a shiny metallic background which makes it hard to distinguish the number. After getting this one, they showed me an old one they had, which is apparently the same, with a different brand, but that one has a black background dial, with white color numbers, which they can read very easily.

Bright colors help ID bags

I like having the bright colors so I can put the bright green on my red suitcase, immediately distinguishing it from the many similar red suitcases with ordinary black locks. In many years of use, I have only had one of these locks destroyed in airline handling, and I am pleased that the lock yielded before the suitcase did. When I have found the notice of inspection inside my bags, I have always found the locks fully locked, and fully functioning on the outside.

Good quality

Good quality lock, feels solid with some weight to it. Dials move easy and are of good size. Took me a few times to dial in new combo. Doesn't have the feature that tells you if someone opened it with a key, so a little bummed by that. We shall see how it holds up.

Lewis N. Clark TSA 3 Dial Comb lock,Red

Good for travel in the USA, but elsewhere they won't have a TSA key so it will be cut off. The red color helps find my bag among a lot of black roll-ons. The large numbers on the lock help me open it easily. The lockwork is smooth. and the hasp is deep enough to easily attach several items.

Solid And Easy To Use!!

~ Opened the package and read the instructions for re-setting the combination for this lock. It's heavy though small so it seems rugged as a result. Easy to re-set your own combination. Will know better when I get back from Spain. So far, it seems like a GREAT lock for traveling. Way to go "Amazing-zon"!!! ~

It gives you everything a small luggage lock should give

This thing provides security, it's easy to lock, unlock and change passcode. TSA approved, thus if they inspect your luggage at the airport they won't break your lock. It isn't an essential feature for me but the digits are quite large and readable. In addition, i find the red colour very recognizable plus it distinguises your luggage from the other ones.

Good lock

Used it for one trip and it hasn't broken yet. A friend advised me to keep the suitcase locked in the hotel room and that was great advice. The numbers are large and easy to read.

Can TSA open or not?

Very well made positive lock. It is well worth the extra $$$$. Dunno about the TSA part though. The TSA entered our locked bag on our last flight, and we never saw the lock again. Can we assume they entered by force? We will never know......

Lewis and Clark always made great products,I needed some locks for my backpacking into Europe and Asia and with a solid ring instead of a wire lock I felt a bit more secure with my valuables.Of course its not unbreakable and its TSA approve.

Great little lock

I purchased this to replace two cable TSA locks that were 'lost in transit'. It just seems easier to check a standard hasp rather than a cable connection. We have several others that we are happy with.
