It's a simple item, does what its made to do. But the paint is pathetic.

Perfect for what I Needed, to Call My Cat????

I decided when we bought our 8 acres that I needed to be able to call out to my husband and my 1 outdoor cat/dog easily. My 1 outdoor cat who Adopted Us, thinks he is a dog and follows my husband everywhere, doing everything. Fights any Animal that gets in the yard. He patrols the yard. The other 6 rescue cats are indoor only. At this time where we live I can ring it and it's loud enough without really bothering the neighbors. I love the look of it bc it reminds one of the Western look. The sound is really not far off either. Holding the handling right and clang the bar correctly it works. I hang it on the covered deck so it's not necessarily in the brutal sun and rain. I love it and think it was well worth it!!

Come and get it.

I am retired and cook for my wife and me. My wife works in an office upstairs and is frequently on the phone when I want her to come down for dinner. I used to yell for her to come down and she could not acknowledge because of her phone calls. Sometimes she would hear me and other times not and dinner got cold waiting for her. Now, I clang this dinner bell and I know she hears me and comes down when I need her to. She likes it to because she no longer gets lectures from me on how come she doesn't acknowledge my calls to her and she gets dinner when it is ready. Sounds silly but it works and we get along better for it. Does just what it says it does and does it well. I recommend it.

Sound is loud and clear!

The dinner bell is great! Bought it for my brother’s acreage as he is always out back working and can’t hear when neighbours stop by. They now ring the bell and he comes up to the house.

No more yelling for meals!

Now I can summon my kids from the basement without yelling, it's pure bliss. My only complaint was that the leather that it came with was of inferior quality so I replaced it with some of my own. But it's 5 star's all around.
