Gave it early and it was a smash hit.

Adult assembly or at least for kids under the age of 4 is a very good idea. But it is enjoyable. And with a 16 month old being excited and trying to help, it can be more of a puzzle, but once together it is worth the effort. The elaborate picture configuration works and plops all over. It is almost frightening and exciting all at the some time. My little buddy loved it. All pieces need to be fit accurately then with the train engine attached, it works fine. Any track joint not quite right causes it to stop. But you figure out what is wrong pretty quickly. There are also multiple configurations other than the large pictured configuration, that provide enjoyment and are more controlled. This was worth my money.

Great train but lousy track.

Little Tykes usually make great toys but this one leaves a lot to be desired. The track does not stay together. After figuring out how the track snapped together and assembling it we thought it was ready to go. But the track kept coming apart no matter how much we ensured it was connected properly. My grandson loves trains, planes and cars. Fortunately he’s young enough he doesn’t realize what a disappointment this is. It’s too bad the train won’t run without the track because it’s well made.

You can count on little tykes to stand by their products and make things right in a timely manor

This product did not work right, the response from little tykes was wonderful. They got back to me right away and resolved the problem. I never hesitate to buy little tykes products,things do happen sometimes but at least you know that the little tykes company will take care of it. Theresa

Fun toy

Our son pushes the train button and then runs away from it laughing and screaming. Takes up some room to store assembled.

Fun in theory, less so in practice

When it works it's great but it's not easy to build a working setup. In fact for younger kids it will prove downright impossible. The instructions offer no real help even though the box claims there are so many ways to build. When using the main picture to build I found the track to not quite stay together, there was always too much pressure on one of the connections that it would "unhinge" on one side and render the whole track useless. One of the pieces actuallt broke after trying to build the pictured track and is now unusable (within 15 minutes of unboxing). I give 3 stars because it is quite cool when you build a really simple track and watch the train flip and flop it around the room. Just wish there were better instructions and it was a bit more durable and stayed together better.

Worth the money!

Great for little people who love to watch things move. The toy even had us adults playing with it.

Perfect 30 second train

Kids have a way of turning toys on and walking away. This is the perfect 30 second train ever. Rolls around and bumps into furniture without hurting anything. Peaks their interest and turns off automatically…..no more asking 10 times to turn a toy off or you’re going to run the battery down. A grandparents toy that doesn’t grate on the nerves.

Unless.

Tricky to put together then bits broke before getting it all put together.. very disappointed.. such a waste of money. The track can't be used now so my boy is just left with a train that don't work off the track.
