Works great, switched handle to left side.

Bought my 2nd one and switched the handle over to left hand. No leaks. Instructions are in questions and answers. Search (change or Left) I would have given it 5 stars but they made it a little hard to switch Right to Left. It should have been designed that way in the first place. Nice quality hose reel. Works great and looks nice

Look expensive

Look so much better than cheaper plastic types. They look expensive and work better than the cheaper models and hopefully will last longer.

Great Hose Reel

Easy mount. A 100ft+ 5/8" heavy duty hose fits great with room to spare. The best part is that it is made of steel and won't break like the plastic ones. I highly recommend it!!

You may have to indent the area around the hose filler attachment mine was to shallow for the connection The bearing caps on each side of roller drum are flimsy plastic if they break you will have to find a split nut to repair. Other then that not too bad.

Really annoying, and this makes it miss the mark I was looking for

UPDATE 2: last fall I had difficultly removing the hose connecter, the metal oxidised and guess what the inside mechanism again broke - at around 100 to replace it I gave up on this piece of crap. I will be putting in a gardenia they are less attractive but people have them for years and years which was my hope for this expensive piece of garbage. UPDATE: Last fall we had a snap freeze overnight early in the fall. Because this is metal it froze easily overnight and when I woke in the morning the entire thing was leaking - hose, leader (that I had added after market) and also the cylinder inside this unit. cylinder was super expensive to replace, but not hard to do after watching a little video on youtube. Advise others to be mindful to watch the weather and disconnect the water early as well as to blow out the lines. This unit has VERY large holes where the screws go which made using washers necessary, this said, no washers, screws nor anchors came with this. Which is annoying because this is an expensive unit and I would like it too match. The unit is actually some kind of light bent and shaped metal so I am worried it is going to just rust away, I thought it looked more solid in the photos. The handle and crank shaft is solid and more what I expected with the rest. The most annoying thing is that they give you a little hose to attach this too the wall faucet but it is green, which is super ugly along side this nice unit. Why not a brown or black one? The difficulty in installation is because I did not have the parts and therefore had to take a trip (DURING COVID) to the hardware store for these little parts that should have been included. I suggest that the company charge $5 more and make it a lot more convenient. Mine also arrived damaged. The top shelf was bent down in the middle, which shows you how light this actually is. It does look nice installed. Except the green hose, blue screws, silver washers. Again... the end user can't really do much about this since you take what you get at the hardware store, right? The three points are for being attractive, useful and not leaking. The two I took away are for parts that I think should have been included and the hideous hose. Unexpected bonus is that the little shelf above hides my hand tools well enough that porch pirates cannot see them. I left out my (dibbler) tulip planter right beside this and it got carried away, but they did not see or steal hand tools so this is a really great feature for people like me who have a little overhang at the front of their home.

Leaks like crazy / Replacement OK

The media could not be loaded. Most of the reviews were very positive for this. I should have read the negative reviews first. I have exactly the same problem. Leaks from within the unit. When I removed the brass shaft there was some type of damaged washer inside. Don't know if it can be replaced. I have contacted seller. No problems with the O-rings. We'll see if they can suggest repair. Considering this was $115 CAD I am not impressed. UPDATE JULY 9 - I returned the leaky one and got a replacement very quickly. The one I received today works fine and does not leaks at all.

NO LEAKS! Excellent strong hose reel

I recently purchased the Liberty hose reel, No.708 from our local hardware store however it was a LEAKER/GUSHER. It was so disappointing after drilling the mounting holes in the brick wall. I checked on Amazon for the same reel, reading all the great reviews. Receiving positive responses from the Amazon Customers, I ordered from Amazon and yesterday hooked it up! PERFECT...NO LEAKS... Thank you Amazon and Amazon customers.

Well constructed and operates well. Arrived much faster than promised.

Keep in mind that this unit does not come with material required to attach it to a wall. Other than that everything is there and works well. No leaks and solid as a rock after putting it where my old reel was. The handle is thick rubber and feels strange to me but I am sure that I will get used to it and it does not impair the functioning of the item. Glad I bought it, especially as the one I originally ordered never showed up but this one came very quickly.

Very nice garden addition.

We like this hose reel. Colour is nice. The reel mechanism is smooth. However we haven’t installed the reel yet so we don’t know how the reel will work with a hose to roll in. Can’t rate the features yet. Arrived on time and in good condition.
