One of the best Hidden hinge tools for Cabinets
Made my job look very professional! The measuring tool that came with the specialty bit gave the precise location where to drill the hole and the locations of the two screws. It made installing hidden cabinet hinges a breeze.

Drill bit was perfect, the plastic guide is basic
I used this to convert from external exposed hinges to hidden hinges. The drill bit worked perfect and was a good deal. The plastic guide had the perfect hole alignments, but is very basic. There are DIY guides for better jigs. The flap to rest on the edge of the door barely reaches due to the routed edges. I used tape to help keeping it in place, yeah imperfect but it worked. Drilling the screw holes started wearing out the plastic jig, the holes started getting out of alignment. Be careful because of the plastic. All in all, it's cheap and if you don't know or feel like building a better jig, this works. Also, I did not use the self centering drill bits, that might have helped saving the jig and getting better aligned holes.

Handy Jig
Simplistic jig and certainly budget-friendly. Can't get more basic for creating a mortise for Euro hinges.

Since I don’t have a drill press Wanted to wanderAnd I wouldn’t call the sharpest in the world but it did work and save me some money

Not a great solution for Ikea cabinets
35mm is the right size for an Ikea cabinet, but two issues: 1) the tip of the bit at the center of the circle extends quite a bit past the edge of the drilled circle. So much so that for my door, if I had drilled the full circle to the depth required for the hinge then the tip at the center would have broken through the front of the door. So I ended up drilling about half as deep as I needed to, and then doing the rest manually with a chisel. 2) the holes don't quite line up perfectly, at least on my door. They were about 1/8" of an inch off so I had to adjust for that. So I made it work for the 2 holes I needed to drill, but not a great solution overall for Ikea.

Liberty European Hinge Kit
First off it is MADE IN CHINA. Unlike their drawer/door hardware template. But kit is pretty straight forward. Template locates the center of your hinge cup hole and the bit drills it. We'll see how it shakes out once I get to installing some hinges. Might end up getting the Kreg kit anyways since that has the bit captive and sets the depth as well. I was trying to get the USA made product but guess that's just not an option with these kits...

Great template and tool for the DIYer
This is a good quality template and drill bit for the DIYer. I converted 22 cabinet doors from external mount hinges to Liberty no slam hidden hinges and this template and drill bit worked very well. I used a corded hand power drill to drill the holes. It was a bit tricky at first. I ran the drill at full speed and I was burning the wood and over heating the bit. This was not the tool's fault it was user error! Once I realized that I should slow my drill speed down the drill bit cut through the oak the in half the time with no smoke or wood burning. A drill press is the best way to go with this type of tool but it is possible to use it with a hand power drill with a little patience and trial and error. All 22 cabinet doors drilled and installed well with good accuracy. I would recommend this to anyone installing these types of liberty hinges.

The task is to simply cut a round hole...
I am strictly a DIY woodworker, so jigs made to assist in completing repetitive tasks with reasonable precision is welcomed. I will also say that I am, ordinarily, a big fan of a company that is an easily recognized woodworking name brand jig manufacturer, and own a number of their products. In this case, however, the task is pretty straightforward. For as often as I need it, it perfectly shows where to mark your door, and the jig bit drills a perfect circular hole at the correct depth to fit, for example, the Amazon recommended hidden hinge & the screwholes to attach it. I could not justify paying twice the cost to accomplish the same task.

Good product
It worked really great, just wish the guide was metal, not plastic

The template lined the screw and drill holes up perfectly and the bit cut through the 3/4" plywood easily and cleanly
This worked perfectly to drill hinge holes for European type hinges on cabinet doors. The template lined the screw and drill holes up perfectly and the bit cut through the 3/4" plywood easily and cleanly, and the thickness of it is the correct depth to drill to. Simply drill down until the top of the circular bit is flush with the door, use a regular small drill bit for the two side holes and the hinge will perfectly line up. This looks to be excellent quality and I expect it to work for many cabinets to come.

It's sharp. Template screw hole don't match.
Just received it. It looks well made. The guide is of clear plastic, as on the picture looks like metal? I will update my review soon after I try it out. +- I used it today on a 5/8" door to be. After testing it on a scrap piece of 5/8" particle board, after reaching the depth for the hinge to fit, the bit's point was showing through, meaning, if is to be used on a 5/8" door and not 3/4", the bit's point must be ground of at least 1/8". However, what I did is: I hammered the point a few times, and prior to use, I pre-drilled a 1/8" hole, so that the now hammered point will fit centered. BTW: Do not use the pemplate to mark the hinges' screw hole, as they DO NOT MATCH the soft closing hinges I'll be using. Use the template only to mark the center hole. It's a sharp bit, however, after 3 holes, there was something in the board that scraped/damaged the bit sharp edge. My luck. :/ I only had to drill one more hole, and I did it.

Works as intended. I only needed to drill one ...
Works as intended. I only needed to drill one cabinet door so can't comment on the longevity of the drill bit. Worked well with the standard Eurostyle hinges that you buy from Homedepot or Lowes (I bought my hinges from Homedepot but I believe Lowes had the same brand as well).

Did the job perfectly
Easy to use. Just need to have a power drill and you'll have your cupboard fixed in under 30 minutes (probably less than 15).
