Updated: Don't throw out your old assembly until you run this new one for a while. I will be contacting the seller for help. Our old drain pump was fine on our old assembly; our issue was with the water cycling during the wash. But now we have a problem with it sometimes draining -sometimes not, and dishes don't come clean unless we use heavy-duty/pot cycle. Didn't have this problem before. If we had to do it all over again, we'd definitely keep the old assembly and just replace the circulating pump on the very bottom and saved the remaining new parts for backup. New dishwasher? During COVID? Ha. Fat chance. Thank goodness this fit and is working perfectly in our LG LDS5560ST. Prices for new appliances are insane; and that is IF you can find what you want. Ours began this horrific squeal/grinding during the wash cycle. When I was pricing parts, I realized this was the best deal. You get to replace just about everything that can go bad (other than the circuit board) in one swoop. No brainer! It arrived on time (thank goodness!) and very well packaged. Could have withstood gorillas all the way to our house. Thanks for this! Like someone else here, we had to put the old gasket back in. Will be checking for leaks, but we just couldn't get it to fit with the new one. Will keep it on hand though.

Great replacement
Bought this because we had an OE error code on our lg dishwasher. Fixed the problem. It is not difficult to do it yourself. There’s a video on YouTube that gives step be step instructions. Our dishwasher is a model LDS5040ST

works great, fit perfectly
This replacement pump and motor assembly fixed the loud noise during the washing cycle. The installation was not difficult. This was my first time trying to fix the dishwasher, and it took me about 4 hours to get the job done. There are plenty of tutorial videos on the web. By purchasing the parts at Amazon and doing the replacement myself, I probably have saved at least $300 - $500 than hiring someone and purchasing the parts through them. Overall, I am very happy with the parts, good quality, perfect fit and well worth of the money.

Fixed the noise issue
My 10 year old LG dishwasher was making a lot of noise when we ran it. Research showed that the motor was going bad. I purchased this replacement one. Replacing the part is somewhat easy if you are handy. It is time consuming because you have to take the dishwasher out and take it apart. You need access to the bottom of the unit. This part was scratched up when it arrived. I don't think it was a new part. However it has been close to two months now and the dishwasher is running fine and it is very quiet when running.

New life for a great dishwasher!
Fantastic product! Received on time and installed in an hour. Packaged well to protect assembly. Item works as perfectly. This replaced the pump assembly for an LG model LDS4821ST dishwasher. This is the second time i’ve replaced the pump assembly on this dishwasher in four years. With three kids, we wash once a day. I received the dishwasher for free with a worn out pump, replaced it and it works like new. Highly recommend taking photos as you take apart to make sure wires are put on correct terminals. Very easy replacement if you have some experience working with tools and minor home repairs.

Back to like new
I forgot how quiet our 8 year old dishwasher used to be as the bearings wore out of the motor. Now I'm back to not knowing if it's running and opening it in the middle of the cycle. It had been screaming like a banshee, but this replacement took care of all the drama. So so happy with this repair. Quite simple to drop in to the dishwasher, once it's unhooked and out. Getting the whole machine out and back into the cabinet took longer than the motor/pump swap.

Holiday savings. Fixed the problem and didn't have to buy a new one.
Works great. Search online and there is a step by step video. Anyone can make this repair.

The gasket is a problem
The product was impossible to install with the new gasket. I had to use the old gasket to do the install. Now that it's in it works great.
