perfect fit
I will say you need to have a little knowledge of a washing machine if you plan to install this yourself. Youtube is great because i did not have any knowledge of doing this repair until i viewed it on youtube. You have to take the washer apart because this part is on the back of the tub and what spins the tub. Once i installed it my washer works like new again. That was my first time tackling that job and it was successful.

Fixed my washer
I have an LG WM2010CW washer. It is about 10 years old and has been great until a couple weeks ago on high spin cycle it started making a banging noise like when the load is really off balance. And it was smoking and the laundry room filled with smoke. So i googled those symptoms and everyone said bearings. So i ordered bearings and tore down the washer and in the process found that the metal tub was spinning out of round and was digging into the plastic case melting it in the process. During this process the door seal got torn up so I bought one of those as well. So i replace the bearings and the door seal and I run it and no improvement. Turns out my old bearing weren't that bad. So after more googling I find a video that talks about the "spider" bracket breaking and so I checked mine and it turned out it was broken but I didn't notice it at first because it was caked with dried detergent and lint which corrodes the metal over time. After a thorough cleaning i could find the crack. It was not simple to get off. There 6 bolt that hold it on that are secure in with strong thread locking compound. Next, I had to bend the metal lip outward away from the bracket and use a pry bar to push the bracket up. The drum metal under the bracket is very thin and dents very easily when pushing against it try to push the bracket away so there are visible dents now inside my drum but it doesn't affect operation. Now is spins like new, no noise and no smoke. From what i can tell it doesn't look like they have improved the design of the bracket at all to stop the corrosion and breaking down the road. The metal is poor quality and mostly very thin. It is probably real cheap for them to manufacture and they keep selling them if they keep breaking so win for them. I spent under 200 for the the bracket, bearings and door seal and after 10 years of great operation that is not bad.

It might be rough to the touch. But it looks sturdy. It was painted in black
It might be rough to the touch. But it looks sturdy. It was painted in black probably to create a better first impression. Not crazy complicated to install but very close tolerance to reset in position. I'll suggest spray some silicone or other lubricant to position the part to align with the locking bolts. Loctite or similar suggested for the setting of the new threads. Originally equipment had some (red or blue)

Works well
Not a whole lot I can say about this. It seems to be OEM, which is to say it's the same cast aluminum that will inevitably corrode over time as the original that came in my washer. It arrived pretty quickly, in a few days, during the pandemic. This is my second time replacing it. They tend to last 4 years or so. It probably helps to leave your washer door open so that it can dry out when not in use. If it starts making odd noises or there's a burning type smell when you open the door after a load, better change it quick. My first one blew the control board when it broke. I think it was just the fuse, but the whole thing is potted, so good luck changing a fuse. I ended up having to replace the board too.

Part has cracks all the way through on one flange and that flange is also bent, see photos
Look at photos, which are both sides of same area on spider drum support. Those are not surface casting defects, those are through cracks. That flange is also bent. Looks like LG is selling factory rejects as new parts hoping people will not notice or not have time to get a new part and thus put faulty parts in their machine that will not last as intended, but long enough to get their money. It's a bad design to begin with, an aluminum casting next to a stainless steel tub bathed in laundry water, there was no way the casting was going to last without corroding, see last two photos which are old part. That is how the original part failed, corroded and cracked, this one is already cracked! Really disappointed, and a waste of my time and money buying this part from Amazon. LG should be ashamed to operate like this, they have a bad design causing the washer to fail and the part they provide won't even last as long as the original part. The part I received from Amazon/LG should have been thrown away not sold as an OEM part, so disappointed in LG and Amazon. I ordered (3) LG OEM parts in total, one to replace the cracked and bent one shown in the photos and one from a local parts store. All three LG OEM parts had the same type of defects, cracks and at least one flange bent. Ended up ordering the aftermarket part off Amazon for a lower price, it arrive and was really well made, no cracks, no dents, and well padded for shipment. Installed the new part and am very happy so far with the operation of the machine (I cleaned everything out and installed a new door seal while I had it apart, smells new and fresh.) Based on my experience you may want to consider the aftermarket part if you are hesitant to install the OEM cracked and bent part as I was. I guess I can't say for sure the defects in the photos will cause these parts to fail prematurely but I'd sure take that bet even money, especially as corrosion, which was the original cause of the failure, will be accelerated by the presence of the cracks.

Perfect fit.
Fit perfect and repaired my washer. Was replacing bearings and seals on the drum. Found out the shaft on the drum was rusted and corroded badly. This was the perfect fit.
