Leviton GFTR2 Self-Test SmartlockPro Slim GFCI Presa a prova di manomissione con indicatore LED, piastra a muro inclusa, 20 Amp, marrone

Brand:Leviton

3.8/5

51.61

ANYONE CAN DO IT
ALL YOU NEED TO KNOW...MAKE SURE YOU TURN OFF THE CIRCUIT BREAKER TO THAT ELECTRICAL BOX. AS YOU REMOVE A WIRE FROM THE OLD OUTLET, REINSTALL IT ON THE NEW ONE. OF COURSE WHEN COMPLETED TO TURN BACK ON THE BREAKER AND MAKE SURE THE RED BUTTON ON THE OUTLET IS TURNED ON...LEVITON HAS ALWAYS BEEN QUALITY

Before you install this outlet (assuming you’re doing it yourself), I highly recommend you search YouTube for this exact title: >>>>> “How to Install a GFCI Outlet, AFCI and Dual AFCI/GFCI Outlet | Leviton” Leviton produced a slick, informative, step-by-step, seven minute video that’ll make your work much easier and quicker. Leviton advises in the video that if you have more than 5 wires in a standard outlet box, then this 20 amp outlet might not fit for you (or else call an electrician). It’s a large outlet with a width of 1.69” and depth of 1.38”. I live in an older (1950s era) home, and it was a tight fit with four wires and two connectors. The outlet comes from the factory already tripped, meaning that after you install it and turn the power back on the outlet produces no power. You need to press the Reset button to turn on the power at the outlet. This will only work if you’ve correctly installed it. If you’ve correctly installed it, you’ll see a green indicator light. I purchased the brown-colored outlet. It is very dark brown. It fades nicely into my dark wood paneling (except for that very bright green light). The cover plate that I received with it has color-coordinated top and bottom screws. It’s not the screwless type of plate that was shown in the product photo on the day I purchased it.

Hard to plug items into the outlet
Easy to install and looks good but hard to plug items into the outlet.

Nice replacement
I like this better than the old GFI outlet that it replaced. The old one had a small crack on the button and failed. Funny thing is it knocked out 2 other outlets as well when that happened. This new one has a little night light on it and it is safer than the old one.

Tamper-resistant, 20-amp, GFCI, meets code requirements and all 6 I bought work fine.
In a nutshell: I bought and installed 6 of these and each of them worked correctly. So for that, 5 stars. The price I paid on Amazon was the same as that of the local big-box home improvement stores except that none of them had it in stock and it would've taken two weeks to get it if I ordered online from them, whereas Amazon got it to me in two days. Why did I buy these rather than 15-amp GFCIs? I chose to run only 20-amp circuits using 12-ga wire when finishing my basement. I know that I could put 15-amp receptacles throughout the basement as I may never need to plug anything in that needs a 20-amp receptacle, but I figured why not use 20-amp outlets everywhere since I'm DIYing the entire project and saving a ton of money as it is. These don't cost much more than a 15-amp GFCI, and call me vain but I think use of 20-amp receptacles is a small signal to others that the workmanship that went into the basement was good. Also, these are tamper-resistant, which is required by the inspectors in my county. Yes, I went through the pain of paying $700 for permits for my project and am doing this all on the up-and-up. Most of the receptacles I bought for my project are non-GFCI 20-amp, though I used a combo AFCI/GFCI receptacle in the basement bedroom for added safety though it's not required by the inspector at present. I would rather pay a little more for the protection these receptacles provide than not.

Great deal and great quality
I stopped while in Home Depot and decided that their price was high enough to take a moment and check Amazon. I found that I saved significant money and would have my GFCI outlet the next day. No brainer. Same product - save enough to cover the price of one of them by buying them all on line! Thanks for carrying decent products and not killing us on price!!

Before you buy any GFCI read this.
I have installed many GFCiI's over the years and the slim version is the one get. They fit in the electrical box much easier.

Its Leviton, need I say more.
A bit slow on delivery, but I was in no hurry. When it arrived, it worked just fine. My wife is happy, and that makes me happy.
