Good value, ease of install,
My AFCI / GFCI was exactly what I needed after the remodel and addition on our home. Provides a sense of security in regards shock arcing and fire. Good value and worthy item to install.

What a non shocker!
If you want the latest in shock/short protections this is one form. Who would benefit the most by this? If you do not want the costs of an electrician or your box is not designed to except the breaker version of this And if you can safely replace an outlet now these are the next best solution to a breaker. This provides short protection from the ground to the two other lines AND between the two lines only. That gives complete coverage for not getting a shock and your devices going poof. Things to know: will NOT work on two wire outlets and needs to be at the First outlet of the electrical run (ie needs to be closest to the circuit box) for protection of that line. It will most likely will NOT trip the circuit breaker in the circuit breaker box so know where you have this installed to reset the circuit. Good stuff but not cheap or easy to install. Remember to flip off the breaker before install AND check the circuit for voltage with a voltage sniffer ( it beeps and flashes when a wire is hot!) Most important: if you have more then 4 wires plus ground or if you are not versed in sparky skills CALL an electrician!!! They are skilled in making sparks!

Quality product
This product passed the AF and GF test, an external arc and ground fault test was performed on the outlet, along with the test button. All of these passed. This outlet was used to replace a Leviton GFCI that I felt like needed a replacement despite being a newer SmartlockPro GFCI. The arc fault aspect gives me peace of mind in the household when something happens. Perfect replacement. Also used the buttons from my old receptacle for aesthetics. The outlet's tamper resistant shutter mechanisms have been tested and work as intended along with the other outlets in the gang which are also tamper resistant. The "2.0" part of the AFCI GFCI is a simple marketing ploy as the standard AFCI-GFCI circuit board is identical if not slightly different from my past observations. Leviton is a very common and trusted brand, which is one of the many reasons I chose this specific receptacle. SPH recommends this product for keeping your home's electrical safe and sound.

This outlet just saved my kitchen...
I bought this over a year ago (Dec 2017) and installed it as the first outlet servicing my kitchen circuit. This morning, the ancient old garbage disposal unit (circa 1980's I'm guessing?) leaked water onto its electrical input. It tripped the outlet, causing the whole kitchen to go dark. I had no idea what was causing it at the time, and after resetting it several times, each time I heard the buzzing sound of an electrical short. My girlfriend noticed a spark under the kitchen sink the final time I reset it. So... YES... it does exactly as it should! And it also saved me from a potential fire in the kitchen. I am now a big proponent of AFCI & CAFCI devices. Is there any downside to these? Well, yes, there actually is, but it's a very minor one. If you run a large microwave that's "underloaded" - in other words you are warming up just one slice of pizza or a hot pocket in a big, 14,000 watt microwave... it is probably going to trip the outlet. In these cases, my kids have learned to put a glass of water or couple slices of old bread in the microwave as well to it isn't "underloaded" anymore. To me, I could care less about a glass of water or "sacrificial bread" in the microwave to keep my kitchen safe. But these outlets DO WORK, and they work when they are supposed to. I'd give this 6 stars if I could - for the fact that it saved my kitchen or house today. :)

Great for old houses! Adds a peace of mind to old wiring.
I installed these where the modern wire ends and the 1930's wiring begins in my newly purchased home using the output (or load) side of these receptacles feeding the old wiring. I needed a quick way to add a modern level of safety to the wiring in this house. The seller lied about the wiring being replaced. Some was, but 15 outlets were not. So this was the quickest way I could think of to make those circuits safer. They are extraordinarily sensitive to faults. I found several wiring issues because they kept tripping! Once I fixed those, it has been perfect since. No unwanted trips. Later, I will install a panel with AFCI breakers, but for now this adds a peace of mind that would be impossible on short notice otherwise.

Good for Older Homes
My house was built in the 50's so it doesn't have three wire wiring. These outlets allow me to have three prong outlets safely.

Combo GFI/ARC flash 20 AMP receptacles.
Less expensive than combo replacement circuit breakers (if you can find them - supply chain issues or even have enough space in your panel) so I bought the combo receptacles. Had to add a couple 20 amp outlets in the kitchen for new air fryer so these fit the bill. GFI was always a good idea (and to satisfy most building codes) in kitchen (and bathrooms). Newer codes specify Arc Flash these days too. Seems priced right and fast delivery. Recommend this seller. Leviton has been around for a while and seems to make quality stuff.

AFCI and GFCI in an efficient and small outlet package.
Arrived within hours and installed at the first Receptacle on my 15 inch branch circuit. I have a 1980s home and I am not able to use an AFCI breaker with my fuse panel. This outlet works really well as it protects both the outlet and the rest of the circuit which is most of my first floor. They appear to be expensive, but the alternative of having a fire go on abated is more. One of the most common problems was with this run a vacuum cleaner or a chopsaw. In this picture I am running both a shop vac vacuum cleaner and a Dewalt chop saw off of the same outlet, 15 amp breaker, and it worked. No false triggers. So far very happy with my purchase. I ordered the larger 20 amp models to go in my new kitchen remodel, to bring us “up“ to code.

Excellent alternative to very expensive panel cct. breakers.
Exactly as advertised , could be a little more competitive with pricing as big box stores are about $10 cheaper ( when they have in stock).

Bon produit

Great product
I really like Leviton products and have purchased them for throughout the years for all my houses and projects. The black GFCI sells for thirty in the big box stores and the AFCI is forty. Here you get both for the price of the AFCI as well as in black and it's tamper-resistant. It's an all in one solution and Leviton products not only perform well but feel sturdy, which is the case with these. Furthermore, even if it incorporates the AFCI and GFCI, they managed to keep the product thinner than some dimmers, this is good considering that a 20 amp already has a larger gauge wire of 12 and will often have two wires making it tight and not leaving much space in the box.

Laundry and kitchen safety receptacle
When moved into my newly built home just over 6 years ago, I had an issue with the placement of my washing machine receptacle. The builder had placed it as if I were planning on stacking my washer/dryer and having them in the same small space. They didn't tell me this before hand, so when I arrived with my machines (which weren't stackable), the washer plug was way to far away. I complained and they had an electrician install a receptacle, right above my water shut offs. At the time I was concerned, right beside a water source? Not to mention the fact that he installed a regular receptacle there. This was back in 2012. I asked the electrician, the builder and an inspector I hired if it was safe/okay to use. They all said yes. To this day, I still think they were full of it! Anyway, this year it was time for a new washer/dryer set (appliances only seem to last 5-6 years these days). I decided to opt for a stackable set to save floor space, and to also have a laundry sink installed where the washer used sit. Just before I got my new washer/dryer, I unhooked everything. This included a chest freezer which was on the same outlet as the washer. The washer unplugged fine, but the chest freezer electrocuted me. It was quick, and it only went up my arm before I let go. That was the moment where I knew I needed a safety receptacle, at the very least a GFCI outlet. And so I started my journey, on the path to learning to current electrical code. And has it changed! I learned that kitchens and laundry areas should have AFCI/GFCI receptacles, within 6ft of water sources. So I purchased this receptacle. I know I don't have a finished laundry room or an inspector coming in to make sure it's all to code, but for me it's better to be safe then sorry. The instructions were super simple to read, there's pictures too, the installation only took 10 min. It would have been a faster install if the old/original receptacle wasn't busted (we had to break the white and black lines, inside of the old receptacle. The electrician jammed them in so much that they wouldn't/couldn't be removed). It's a common sense installation, even beginners can manage this (turn off all the power in your home, keeping safety in mind) After I installed a plug-in light above the sink, I accidentally knocked the plug slightly out of the receptacle and the light tripped it. So I know it works! I'm very happy with this purchase, if that changes I'll be back to update!

Does the job
It’s beefy, does ARC fault and GROUND fault. I use it with an UPS that has a bunch of stuff plugged in and that keeps tripping my arc fault breaker. This way, if one device trips this outlet then the rest of my circuit isn’t tripping which in turn fixes my problem. It hasn’t tripped yet but i firmly believe that this outlet has fixed any arc problems that would arise in that particular location. Build quality is good aswell. Would buy again (if it turns out the outlet doesn’t trip and the breaker still trips then either the problem wasn’t where i thought it was OR this isn’t working. If latter is correct then i’d stay away from this product.
