Exactly What I Wanted

It is bulky, but perfect for a 240 volt table saw. It is the easiest plug I have seen to install and works great.

When you need one this works great!

It is hard to get excited about an older US style 220 dryer plug. It was either replace my current female wall outlet to the new standard 4 prong with ground and add a new 4 prong male plug or just make my current 3 prong system work. I chose to just use my existing 3 prong system. Why these plugs cost so much has to be for liability and no reason to ever replace. One great benefit of this plug is that it allows you to turn the plug in relations to the housing 90 degrees at a time to have your cord come out at 12, 3, 6 or 9 o'clock positions in relation to the housing. Cost seemed high but comparable to others with the added benefit or changing the direction of the output cable.

Nice and heavy duty and great value. You have options to install 8 to 6 gauge strain cable,and have a nice unit when completed.

Good product == incorrect Amazon description.

Everything about this product is high quality; however, the description is wrong. Please note that this particular plug *** does not *** include the following safety features: 1. Internal Wiring Chambers Isolate Individual Conductors to Prevent Flashover, Arcing, and Excessive Heat Buildup 2. Transparent Wiring Chambers Provide a Means of Visual Inspection of Conductors and Terminals As you will see from the image, there is nothing internal that isolates or separates the conductors. As such, be sure you carefully read and follow the stripping, twisting, and installation instructions to prevent arcing or flashover. I've alerted Amazon to update the listing.

Complete garbage!!! A very obvious design or manufacturing defect. Contacted Leviton several times with zero result or care. Strongly discourage purchasing this plug as it does have a flaw and poses a safety risk!

Solid...

This item is built solid. Easy to wire and built like a tank! Reversible cord stay at bottom of plug allows for different size cable and has strong holding power without pinching the cable. It feels very secure in the outlet which is good for what I need. I used it to power up a new piece of equipment in my shop. Eliminated the need to hard wire 220v to where I needed it. Very nice plug and fast shipping.
