Wiring diagram supplied appears to be wrong or ununderstandable
The switch appears to be well made. I have not installed it yet because it took me hours and hours to figure out the enclosed wiring diagram because it just didn't make any sense to me as a handy layman who has done lots of wiring in the past. I finally found a similar switch made by Bryant and went on line to see if I could find a wiring diagram. I did and theirs made far more sense. Very simple, the line wire, black and white or perhaps red and white attach to L1 and L2 (either way, makes no difference). Circuit A attaches to A1 and A2 again either way. Circuit B attaches to B1 and B2. DONE! This tests correctly on my multimeter with the switch plugged into a wall socket. There is a bit of voltage leakage but miniscule and I think normal. Why Leviton couldn't have explained it this simply is beyond me.

Switch between 2 water pumps
I needed to switch between 2 different 240v water pumps. One pump pulls water into a 1500 gallon tank from the river and the other is used as a transfer pump to pull water from a 2500 gallon tank into the same 1500 gallon tank. In either case, a float system in the 1500 gallon tank triggers the pump to run. I only wanted one of the pumps to get power from the float relay at any time and this switch worked perfectly. One pump is a 3 wire but is connected to a control box so only needed 2 wire connection to the switch. The other pump is only a 2 wire so once I connected the T1 and T2 outputs from the float relay switch to the L1 and L2 inputs on this switch, I then connected one pumps wires to the A1/A2 terminals on this switch and the other pumps wires went to this switches B1/B2 terminals. The center position of this switch is an Off position, and I labeled the other 2 positions on the switch plate to show which pump would get power once the float triggered it needed to fill the tank. As others have stated, be sure to look on the back of the switch to ensure you are connecting to the correct terminals as they are staggered. It's not hard and they are clearly marked, but just be careful. I wasn't sure what switch to get so I contacted Leviton directly and they pointed me to this switch and it is perfect for my needs.

Perfect for switching between power sources for RV a/c!
My RV has two a/c’s, but only set up for 30 amp shore power. Both units will run off generator power and only one at a time on shore power. I wired a separate 110 circuit to power my front unit. I used this switch to select shore power(separate 110 line) or generator power. WORKS GREAT!!! Feel free to contact me if you need help with doing this.

Used as a "Transfer Switch" in Campervan Build
Works great as a transfer switch in a van build. Please make sure you read and understand the directions of which contact is where!!! This switch is laid out differently than your standard DPDT switches, so make sure to check and re-check with a DVOM that everything is connected correctly. Have been running for one year. Still working flawlessly.

Expensive, but not a commmon light switch to find - also very stiff and loud - NOT quiet!
The media could not be loaded. I was hoping this would be close to being quiet as it was advertised. It was not. This is a stiff switch and takes quite a bit more force to toggle up or down. I installed it in a weatherproof outlet box which uses a plastic housing to control the switch (typical for what you have for exterior light switches) and it's so stiff to toggle I'm concerned the plastic will end up breaking. Like everyone else has mentioned... look at the directions to wire it, and then double check your design with an ohmmeter before actually wiring it up. I needed to change both hot and neutrals to control a pool light. One side of the switch was manual on and the other side I wired to an Alexa relay so I could control the pool light via my phone app, so I wired the center position to go to the LED pool light and then both sides to be two different power sources. I made a video of the switch stiffness and the noise. Sorry about my camera constantly refocusing on the back wall. It did what I wanted but I don't like how hard it is to move the switch

Exact function I needed
High quality, DPDT Hi current switch for selecting manual/auto for attic fan

Stiff toggle mechanism, and not quiet.
Did the job, but the toggle lever is very stiff & NOT quiet. It was, in my opinion as a retired electronics tech, expensive. There are relatively few manufacturers of UL approved wall switches, and consequently little competition. That almost always translates to a higher price.

Two devices, one switch
Nice switch, run RV water heater on one pole and the microwave on the other pole with the center position being off in my 25 year old RV with a 30 Amp service. You have to chose what you want running at times to be sure you don't overload the system, and this is a great way to make that selection without constantly popping breakers.

Xpensive, however it's sturdy and it works.
I used this product so I could run one appliance from two different sources. Some knowledge is required to use this switch in a different setup then the included drawing shows.

Works good, but high price
The function is just what I needed to have two machines with the same power requirements on the same breaker, (my shop panel is too full to have a separate circuit for each machine). I now can switch between my table saw and my thickness sander. Both are 220 volt 20 amp single phase (no neutral). Someone else mentioned to be sure to have an oversized box to house the switch and the wires, that was good advice. You will have six wires plus grounds coming into the box and they will likely be #12 wire or larger for the 20 amp, so it gets crowed and stiff in a regular single box. I used a 4x4 deep box and it was still stiff getting everything safely tucked inside. I knocked off one star. While the switch of course works it feels kind of lightweight on the switching action, not a solid click type feel. I have to hope that being a Leviton product it is okay, and there is warranty on it too. Also, I felt the price was extremely high for a switch even though it is not a standard type of switch. But I have it installed an I am happy with it.

Great switch for my purpose
Great switch for my purpose. I wanted to switch my 220 volt well water pump between the electrical panel and a generator. It did every thing that it claimed and works well. I recommend using it in a 4.5x4.5 electrical box to give room for the heavier gauge wires.
