Yes, they are sateen...
...and they are LOVELY. Great weave/thread count, and they wash well too. I've had them over a month now, and no pilling or thinning. I love how well the sheet accommodates my moderately thick mattress. I believe I could buy a really thick/fancy mattress and have similar success. Flat sheet is big enough to drape to the box spring all around, and there's enough length for a good tuck at the foot (I like that because it prevents the sheet from popping loose in the middle of the night as I move around while I sleep). The pillowcases are a good, standard size. Very soft and luxurious feeling at a great price. So far as the color...there are times that the grey seems bluish or even a little purple - but I love that because I'm using those undertones in the room. Perhaps it's a lighting thing. But the delivery is a darker, steely grey color that is influenced by the colors around it, particularly cooler tones. My husband likes how these sheets are more "gender-neutral" than other greys, but still very soft - so they are guy-approved too. :)

Very soft, very nice sheets. The description was a bit confusing because it said it only comes with a fitted sheet and pillowcase. I received a fitted sheet, flat sheet, and pillow case. Perhaps I received the wrong shipment, but I really wanted the complete set and it was not available when I tried to order. So I got what I wanted anyway. heh. I would have been fine with only receiving the fitted sheet and pillow case though; that is what the description said when I ordered. I live in Las Vegas and it gets hot. Since these are cotton sheets, they are much less hot than polyester (aka "microfiber").

Spend a little extra and get true cotton sheets!
Just received these and they feel wonderful. Much better and higher quality than the 1500 thread count microfiber sheets listed on Amazon that create small lint balls over time from movement while you're sleeping. Since they're cotton they're also cooler when you're sleeping. Only issue I have is the color says grey but it's such a dark color it looks more chocolate.

Perfect for all weather!
So soft and cozy! I love cotton sateen sheets and we needed California king sheets for our new mattress in a hurry (no stores around here carry them?). We've washed them several times and they've held up great no pilling or anything! I will definitely be buying more! We have a Serta icomfort pillow top and they are plenty deep enough too.

Smooth and cool
Like the title, these sheets are very smooth to the touch and cool-feeling. They wrinkle a bit easily. VERY deep pockets (they never slip off anymore). The color is interesting. In different light types, they appear to change. In daylight they're charcoal, in indoor light they're dark grey-brown and in LED they're grey-blue. They also have a bit of a sheen. We are enjoying them, and would buy sheets like this again.

We all have our drugs. I am a sheet addict. I like Pointehaven products. Been buying their percale products for years. Tried these for first time. These are nice! They have a nice hand to them and the sheen gives them that added richness. Colors pretty too.

Excellent except for critically flawed durability.
These are not durable sheets. The fitted sheet broke down and developed a large hole in the middle in about a year. I've never had a sheet get close to that state in 1.5-2, years of usage. If they were durable, they'd be amazing.
