China made
Over all the chair is looks nice, BUT made cheap and needed more parts (washers) to complete the assembly CORRECTLY the bolts are to long and stick out at the bottom. I bought 2, for all the effort of putting together the 1st ONE I'll keep it, the other will be returned.

Great once finished.
Once complete it is a pretty good chair. Assembly is pretty straight forward but the tight spaces you need to get into to secure the nuts can be infuriating. Be prepared and remember to leave everything a little loose until complete. As expected from wood products, the finish has been absorbed into the wood unequally but good enough for a while. (all outdoor wood needs to be refinished every now and again anyway so no bother) The only problem I have with it is that some of the pieces have either warped or were not cut exactly to size so they have minor gaps when construction is complete or do not align correctly. (a hard thing to do with rounded edges) It may cause cracks in pressure areas with time but I haven't had it long enough to tell. Side note: for a 6 foot man, the back is still too tall to wear a hat without constantly hitting it. You will need to saw about 2 inches off or find better shade.

Nice solid rocker
Comfortable solid rocker. Putting it together wasn't the funnest thing I did that day, but not horrible.

Beware of the assembly...
The chair, itself, is great...now that it's assembled. Assembly took several hours, a trip to Home Depot, use of a first-aid kit, and a lot of patience. The instructions are some of the worst I've ever seen. It's basically just a diagram. That's all good and fine if you know what you're doing, but it took me a solid 25 minutes to figure out step 1, because the instructions make little sense. Even once i figured it out, it was really obnoxious to accomplish. Having to screw the nuts on to the ends of the bolts inside small holes was a giant pain. Once I got going, everything was rocking along until one of the holes wasn't really done properly. The bolt didn't come through enough to screw the nut on to the end. At first, I thought maybe I could get it with sand paper, but that didn't help enough. The hole was uneven AND not big enough (or...deep enough? or just not quite in the right place). That meant a trip to the Home Depot. Trying to find a larger bolt was a challenge, because the bolts are metric and they didn't have a metric one large enough. I found a standard one that worked and went back home to finish the job. I didn't fully realize where the bolt would be on the finished chair, so it didn't occur to me to spray paint the bolt black before use. So now I have a bright, shiny silver bolt smack on the front of my chair, but you couldn't pay me enough money to take that thing apart and spray paint it now. The tool that was provided to tighten the bolts kept getting stuck on the bolts. I pinched my hand and drew blood trying to get it off. Tightening all the bolts down after FINALLY getting everything else together was just...the icing on the cake. It took forever and I was just ready to be finished. the chair is very comfortable and it looks nice, but I was going to get a second one and now there's no way I will subject myself to this assembly again, even though I know how to do it. Oh, and there's a video of the assembly instructions, but don't get your hopes up. It's just an animation of the same stupid graphic without any actual instructions.

Great product with small discrepancies
Overall, the rocker is sturdy and of good quality. While putting the rocker together though, I noticed that there were painting deficiencies. Both of the rockers I assembled had enamal/sealer drips that are rather visible. I recommend that the manufacturer take a bit more care to avoid the discrepancies and the product would be perfect.

Gorgeous and solid piece of quality furniture
This chair is gorgeous! Very solid and roomy. The finish is beautiful and they can stay outside all summer without being covered. At the end of the season I will revarnish them like the company recommends. I can see these chairs lasting a long time. Definitely worth the price. Regarding assembly it can be a bit tricky but don't the the reviews scare you off. First, fully read the instructions. Every word on the page. There is some very small print in illogical places that explains important information like how the bolts should go. Next, lay put one side of the rocker following the diagram. Make sure to pay attention to what side you put the rocker piece on, it should go on the outside of the rocker. It's easy to mess up if you don't pay close attention. After the first side is assembled, it's easy sailing from there. We bought 2 of these chairs and assembly on the first took about an hour while the seconds took about half that. I assembled them and my husband fully tighten all the nuts and bolts to finish them up. You will definitely need a socket wrench, a rachet, and the allen wrench they give you to assemble and then tighten everything up on these chairs. And maybe some pliers, if your fingers won't fit into small spaces, to put the nut on the bolt. It's worth the time and effort because at the end of the day you have a quaility piece of furniture.
