Very..Very deep

As others have mentioned this is a really deep GFCI and I have attached a comparison. It works just fine but make sure you have the room.

Great for bathrooms and kitchens

I bought two of these, one each for my two bathrooms. Having both USB-A and USB-C available makes these outlets future-proof and adds convenience and efficiency to our morning routine.

A little hard to fit into the box, but otherwise great

Just installed this a minute ago and wanted to comment with my experience based on all the reviews I read before purchasing where people are very adamant that you need to upgrade your box in order to fit this outlet. For context, I replaced a standard outlet that seems very old — possibly original with the house, which was built in the 1980s, or close to it. This GFCI outlet is so much deeper than the old one that upon pushing the outlet into the box, there was more resistance than I’d otherwise have with a non-USB GFCI outlet. The back of the outlet is essentially butting right up against the cable, they’re real cozy in there. I did, however manage to get the outlet screwed in. I tested it and it works like a charm. As seen in the photo I’ve included, it’s not totally flush with the faceplate but I don’t think that will bother me too much. So, is the larger depth a potential issue? Sure, but I wouldn’t say you definitely will need to replace the box before installation. You might be able to get everything in there all nice and snug without this turning into a bigger project.

Does not work everywhere…

I love that we have a product for use in kitchens and bathrooms now. I work for a large residential electrical contractor in Cleveland Ohio, we install 12+ of these a week. Fast charging for USB A and ok charging for USB C. Only issue is the depth of the receptacle, these are too deep for your typical 40+ year old home.

Worked exactly as expected

I purchased to allow me to use a USB connected camera outside, but discovered that I needed to add an extension (bought a Lowe’s) to the box since the outlet is deeper than a normal outlet. A side problem I encountered was the ground screw on one of the 2 outlets I bought was unscrewed where the piece inside that tightens the wire had come off inside the outlet itself. After a couple of minutes of frustration over that, I found that it was easy to remove the 4 box head screws to fix it. I would absolutely purchase again if I have another project that requires GFCI even if the USB isn’t needed. You never know when it might later. ;-)

Great Receptacle

Finish and quality is top notch, although it’s a very deep device so this probably will not work well with small or full junction boxes.

Legrand is famous for quality. It’s exactly what I expected from Legrand. Don’t go cheap with electrical! It’s Perfect!
