Perfect replacement for old Despard switch
Good quality switch. For some reason the almond is harder to find and more expensive. This is white but since they are small it's not bad looking. After replacing I was able to open old switch and repair it. There was a metal ball bearing on a spring that had fallen out of place. Since this is an electrical problem do so at your own risk and skill level. I kept the repaired one as a backup and used new one.

Saved me a lot of work!
I’ve got an older home with these small light switches in 2 areas of my house. There are 3 switches in each box. For years I’ve been anticipating having to replace one of these switches with a new large style switch. That requires cutting out an area of drywall plaster, mud ring and possibly the box itself. No more! Being able to buy an on-off and 3 way switch replacements, plus the cover plates was great. Big box store’s in my area do not carry these anymore. Thanks Amazon and Pass & Seymour/Legrand for making my life a little easier.

I was searching for a replacement of the old toggle switches and Amazon had them. I was afraid they weren’t made anymore however Legrand Pass & Seymour still makes them. With the cover plate and switch holder it was an easy replacement. I bought 2 on/off & 1 -3way and all work perfectly.

Perfect replacement
I had one of these switches fail in a three switch setup. My house was built in 1936 and I believe the switches are original. Anyway, I replaced all three as preventive maintenance and they fit like the originals.

Smooth switch action, appears well made
Seems well made. Was made in Mexico, but better from there than overseas. Have had pretty good luck with Mexican products. Switch has been in service short time but so far, no complaints.

I'm glad it still exists because I had a house that had a similar but older version of this. So I'm glad to replacement in white.

Fit
Works fine. Interestingly there was a paper label on it that said "50V". I assume that was there from the initial purchaser to indicate its purpose as the switch is rated for full house voltage.

The only ticket in town for NEW despards!
These P&S despards are pretty much your only option if you're looking for newly manufactured switches. When correctly installed in an interchange strap, they hold securely with absolutely no wobble, and the side screws aren't captive which I appreciate when I'm re-using old loops. (Remove the screw, put it through the loop, and then tighten it down. Easy peasy.) I can't speak for long-term durability, but they switch positively with a satisfying but muted "click," no flicker or buzzing whatsoever. They also look GREAT with Mulberry "Princess" style switch plates! Highly recommended if you're replacing older despards in your home and want to maintain the "retro" look!

Doesn't have the snap of the old switches and it doesn't exactly match the other ones in the box but it saved me from an annoying wiring job.
