Amazing, high quality product
Amazing, high quality product. WAY too expensive and I found this on several European web sites for about half the price (in Euros) but shipping brought it up to American prices so took the plunge. I bought 2 Classico 70s (27 inch diameter at top) for 2 small trees on my NYC balcony. I also have had a Classico 60 at my house in Florida for about 6 years which has a 10 foot tall Fiddle Fig growing on a porch. ( I have to cut it back periodically because it threatens to take over my porch.) Incredibly low maintenance, wipes clean, squirrels can't do any damage, though they try. I put liquid fertilizer in the reservoir once in a great while. I also have 3 Balconeras on my balcony at my NYC apartment with flowers that have thrived this summer with only a need to water them 1-2 times per week depending on the weather. (I do NOT have a green thumb!) The set-up instructions are a bit confusing initially, but we worked it out. There is a drain plug in the bottom of each pot which is red and can be removed with a screw driver. Leave the plug IN for indoor use (so water can't leak on floor if you over-fill) and take plug out for outdoor use so water CAN drain if reservoir becomes overfilled by, say, heavy rains.

Best Designed Planter
These planters are expensive and require a separate purchase for the hanging hardware but are clearly designed well. The planter has an insert for easy install and removal. Also there is a little gauge for measuring water level and comes with filler gravel appropriate for allowing water diffusion. The plastic is high quality and quite durable. Mine has withstood direct sunlight for several weeks now with no evidence of warping. My only gripes are the cost and my unplaced skepticism with the hanging hardware. (To be clear these hang quite securely to my amazement and in challenging conditions.) I'm impressed enough to order again.

Pleased, after many separate purchases.
I ordered two of these not knowing they didn’t have the necessary attachments to hang them. I assumed with the price that these were all in one. After they arrived with nothing to hang, I begrudgingly came back and ordered the pieces separately. Once THOSE arrived, they still were unusable as our railing was still wide. I ordered similar webbing and sewed some additional length onto the hangers. FINALLY, they were able to be attached. So I was out a lot more money than expected, but I do appreciate the final look. Would I buy these again knowing how much in total time and cost they would actually end up? Probably not. I won’t dwell on it now, I’ll just try to enjoy the spring and summer of flowers!

Lechuza planters exceed all expectations!
The planter has exceeded all of my expectations. I am so enamored over these planters that I want to change out all of my planters and never use a traditional plant pot again. I have never used planters like this in my life and I have had plants, both indoor and outdoor almost my entire life! I love, love these planters. At first I was super skeptical and have now had my planters outside on the balcony and they are doing amazing. The plants are so, so happy and they are drinking the water and loving their new life. Now my husband is involved. He watches those level indicators and is always reminding me when they get low to water the plants. It is so funny. He just loves watching those indicators and reminding me it is time to water. In the past my husband never paid attention to the plants. I am really enjoying that. I have some beautiful planters which are a blend of sedums and herbs, which is so much fun! The plants are growing like crazy too! I am in Las Vegas so you can imagine how dry the containers can get. These planters are ideal.

Expensive, but sturdy and functional
I wouldn't say this is the greatest value I've ever gotten for my money, but it's a good product. Very sturdy, well manufactured, good instructions, and most importantly, it works. The plants are growing great.

Works beautifully
This is sturdy and well built. The bulb indicator to show the water level doesn’t work, but this is such a good planter and it does the job beautifully!

Expensive, but also pretty good
I recently installed one of these Color 80s on a railing, using the very expensive add-on mounting brackets. (The brackets are heavily engineered—there’s a reason they’re so expensive.) So far so good. I don’t have any complaints about the fit and finish except that the trim pieces that cap the corners (where the water level sensor can be installed) are a bit loose and wobbly (pictured).

Incredibly designed but pricey
These planters are gorgeous, especially when installed on wrought iron deck railings as we have. The engineering of the boxes is amazing and so easy to install. They are pricey though, especially when you add the separate cost for brackets and, in our case, expandable braces because our railing uprights don’t match up with the brackets. Would have loved a package option and price.

Black thumb turns green
If you think you are the worst gardener on Earth, then you haven't met me. I can't keep any plant alive for more than three hours. I went out to a supermarket, brought home some of those pots of $1.25 rosemary, thyme, parsley and chives, followed the directions of potting them and watering them for a month until the roots were established in this magical device which is sitting on my kitchen inside window ledge, then switched to the autofill last week. Everything is growing like crazy. I may soon have to open my herb shop, just to stop the damn things taking over the house.

Great planters
These have now been installed on my balcony for over a month and I’m REALLY happy with them. Got the brackets for them too and they were very easy to install and came with gravel for each planter bucket. When we had high winds I was able to easily pull out the planter inside buckets with their retractable handles and place them where they would be better protected. I bought 3 planters and put herbs in one and grasses in the others. The herbs (mint parsley & dill) are going berserk - they love it - and the grasses doing well. The water will pool in the bottom of the outer casing as the drain it set a little high but it hasn’t been an issue so far at all The grey colour is lovely and I’ve had lots of compliments. Easy to wipe clean.

Great on a windowsill too
Firstly it does fit on a windowsill and doesn’t have to be used as an external window box etc. It’s well built and looks like it will last. It came with some gravel for each inner pot(although I added extra clay pebbles in the pictures) for drainage and was easy and tidy to plant as you can remove the two tubs

Slightly expensive but good quality and attractive
Very good quality German made planter with a double skin, so the plants sit in an internal basket with sits above a water reservoir. There is some slight bowing when painted, but the rigidity and strength are good, and the colour and finish are attractive. The water reservoir has an overflow that can be opened for outdoor use so that they don't get waterlogged, and the water level guage and capped hole to refill them is useful. Be aware that brackets to fit them to railings are an optional extra and not included. I particularly liked the colour and smooth finish, which in my opinion looks better than other brands (which often have a fake rattan finish which I dislike).
