Best sleep that this old lady has ever had!
First, I want to say that I'm not pregnant, I'm just old, and after about 8 months of suffering from terrible back pain, I decided to try one of the many "maternity" pillows that are available. The choices are seemingly endless and there are certainly less expensive options, but in the end, I decided on this one and I'm glad I did. First, the quality of this pillow is top rate. It is well sewn (both the pillow and the cover) and the stuffing is plentiful and well placed. A lot of the other less expensive pillows (and they are all somewhat expensive) have reviewers who complain that the stuffing is underwhelming and the materials are flimsy. I have no doubt that this one will last for years with proper care. There have also been a few people who seem to think that the cover is overly scratchy, but I washed it before I used the pillow and it was plenty comfortable. As another reviewer noted, it's not Egyptian cotton, but it's certainly not burlap either. Ultimately, the true measure of this pillow is in the comfort and the pain relief that it's provided. From the first night, my sleep was better and the pain in my back and hip was largely relieved. I readily admit that I was skeptical that any pillow would make such a dramatic improvement, but after a week I'm totally sold! It's crazy that something as simple as the cushioned support that this pillow provides can make such a difference, but it has. If you're on the fence, whether you're old or pregnant or just somebody who wants to sleep better, I'd urge you to give it a try! 7/31/21 - I just wanted to give an update now that I've had this pillow for a few months. First, it's just as comfy as ever. The stuffing is stitched into chambers so that it doesn't bunch up on one side or the bottom, and it's just the same as it was on day one. I wash the cover every week which has made it softer and it's holding up very well. I'm thinking about getting another cover, but only because I'd like some other color options. Finally, my sleep has improved dramatically with the use of this pillow and I can't imagine sleeping without it. I wholeheartedly recommend it!

Just what I needed!
The first thing to know is that I am not pregnant- I did not purchase this with the intent of using it during a pregnancy. I have trouble sleeping and was finding that I would have a horrible time getting comfortable. I was experiencing neck pain and back pain, and knee pain when I slept on my side. I decided to try this pillow to see if it could help me get better positioned for a better night’s sleep. The first 2-3 nights were horrible. I considered trying to return the pillow, but decided to stick it out for a week and I am so glad I did. By night 4, the pillow seemed to have “settled” and I seemed to grow accustomed to it. Ever since then, I have been so glad to have this pillow to snuggle into every night. I no longer have neck and knee pain (the back pain is still there, so it is obviously something more than a sleep position issue). The pillow has retained its form. Being a U shape means I can sleep on my back or either side and not have to reposition the pillow. I am not a stomach sleeper, but I imagine this pillow might not work for those who are. The pillow is contoured so I can find the best nooks and crannies for my comfort throughout the night. I can wrap my legs around the sides or I can just put a portion of it between my knees. The cover removes easily and washes nicely. The cover is also a pretty, but neutral, gray pattern which looks nice. It is a little challenging to put the pillow back in the cover after washing, but it is not terrible- definitely not a deal breaker. So far, I have been extremely pleased with this purchase. The quality of the pillow and cover and zipper seem high (I have had it for nearly 4 months now and it looks and feels like new). I would recommend it and I would purchase it again. I have been on two 1-week long vacations since purchasing this and I have been thrilled to come back to sleep using this pillow upon my return on both occasions!

Seems to be made without harmful chemicals
Made in the US and seemingly without hamrful chemicals. Firmness is moderate. Some reviewers thought it was too firm, maybe for sleeping but otherwise soft in general. It's a good thing because all cushions get softer over time. For sleeping, you can use a pillow and scoot down. Wife loves it, can't live without it late in the pregnancy with aches in spots that are difficult to support.

Exactly what I wanted
Ordered this on Black Friday for a little bit cheaper than when I saved it to my wish list. I was looking for a u-shaped maternity sleeping pillow that was long enough to support my legs if I decide I want to sleep with them elevated. I am 5'5" for reference and 22wks. I decided to take the plunge on this because it had a removable cover, the zipper for the removable cover is on the outside of the pillow, and because it appeared that the pillow was firmly stuffed. I have always been a side sleeper, so luckily my sleeping position won't change drastically because of my pregnancy. I wanted a bolster for both sides behind my back when I flip over at night. I agree with the other reviewer that this pillow is like a firm bear hug. It is overstuffed and has extra stitching to keep the stuffing in place in both the leg parts and the u-part at the top. This will be my first night in it. I can't wait! I've already washed the cover so it is nice and smelling fresh. I don't agree with the reviewer that said the cover is scratchy. It feels fine to me!

Pillow for head is not comfortable. Too firm!
Fabric is not soft and area for head rest is too firm. I had to purchase a softer Jersey knit cover. I should have returned the pillow. Not a great purchase related to the cost. It doesn't store well either. Im trying to force myself to use it in hopes it will soften up.

I really wish I could make it work..
It’s not a bad pillow, but after trying to get comfortable with it for a month I think I might have to start looking for something else. I really tried to make it work, but I struggle finding comfort and keep waking up with sore neck, back, and hips (I am 5’2). Although I do think this pillow could work for some. Pros: - u shape is great for those who turn multiple times during the night - the actual pillow material is nice - would work good for those who prefer a higher pillow Cons: - the cover is not soft, it irritates sensitive skin. I had to take it off after the first night and cover the pillow with towels. - one side of the pillow falls off the bed and the other one moves more toward my husband. It’s awkward trying to lift it in the middle of the night. Coz it’s not staying in place it doesn’t provide back support that I need. - the part for the head is too high and firm, it is not made to be a good head pillow.

Holy Grail Of Pillows
Whether you're pregnant or not, this is the best pillow ever. This thing is huge and puffy in the best kind of way. So much better than the other one I bought. It's perfect and I'll use it beyond pregnancy for sure. It looks like it would be comfy to curl up with my baby and breastfeed with as well. I'm super thrilled with my purchase and it was well worth the price.
