Attractive, Modern Design, Less Attractive Function

The first time we received this sink, it was broken into lots of pieces, so we had to return it for a replacement, which Amazon made amazingly easy, so kudos to Amazon! The sink photographed is the second sink we received. I ordered this for the family vacation home my parents are building in the Ozark hills of Arkansas that we refer to as "The Camp". This was ordered specifically for one of the 2 bathrooms. My mom said that the sink is good quality (ceramic) and has an attractive design, but that the sink is so shallow that it looks more like a bird feeder than a bathroom sink. And, since there will be many small grandchildren using this bathroom, the shallow sink will lead to lots of watery messes! But, they do still plan to use the sink. It came prefixed with the holes for the faucet and hot/cold knobs, and for all the plumbing, which, of course, is underneath / behind the top of the sink. Overall, it's a good, attractive sink that could be improved by making it a bit deeper for more practical use.

Gorgeous, lots of imperfections and an absolute headache to install

I normally love products from Grohe. Having moved into an old, not renovated 1970's home I was looking forward to installing this beautiful sink in our half bath. First things first, I was surprised by the quality of the ceramic when I opened up the box. The back which would butt up against the wall is dirty, has some nicks and a very unevenly shaped hole. The drain hole has jagged pieces in the ceramic. The underneath has patching which looks like last minute fixes. The shape of the sink itself is Extremely shallow. A high spout or good water pressure is almost going to guarantee splash outs. The overflow drain is sleek and narrow and just below the rim. I would be surprised if it can handle overflow from a sink this size once the water reaches that high. Besides that, the installing is not straightforward. You have a template you need to use to cut out a large shape from your counter. The instructions included are for a square sink. This sink is oval. I had hoped that, like many above counter sinks, this one would only require one circular cut out for the drain and another for the water lines. This is my first ceramic item from Grohe and a very disappointing one. I will probably stick to their metal plumbing fixtures from now on.

Sleek Design

I replaced my dated cheep pedestal sink with this modern and sleek design. It looks like a museum piece in the front half bathroom. It’s exactly as described. Easy to install. Built to last several generations.

Arrived All in One Piece

This was delivered and packaged well. I was hoping to have it installed before the review, but wait times for construction are crazy around me. Love how the sink is wide but not at all deep. It came with wall mounting screws. I am installing on top of a vanity rather than on the wall. The only thing I don’t love is the logo. It’s so prominent. My Kohler sinks have the logo behind the spout and I hardly notice those. If I had seen the logo in person it would have given me pause and I don’t know what I would have done. Just make sure you notice the Grohe placement.

Stunningly beautiful!

This GROHE 39668000 Essence Wall Mount 27" Bathroom Sink It's beautiful and then a little more beautiful. The curves and contours are just gorgeous and the quality really sets the bar for premium bathroom fixturing. We have used this brands fixtures many times and I've always been delighted. This premium wall mount sink is just amazing. I am 100% recommend it and absolutely love it.
