Can't believe I didn't do this sooner!

We bought our house with a faulty spray nozzle - it would stick on occasion (not enough to be a nuisance all the time, but whenever it did get stuck on it would be annoying enough to just stop using it altogether). ...maybe it's karma from when we "April Fools" pranked my mom as kids by putting a rubber band on the sprayer :( When I realized that the piece just unscrewed I instantly went online to find this replacement part. The hardest part was getting the c-clamp piece off the old one and that same step for installing the new one, but my husband managed to get it done and now I can use the sprayer anytime I want without having to worry about it getting stuck in spray-mode!

The first one started to leak after 2 years

We don't use the spray head very often, so I was surprised when the one we purchased earlier started to leak after using it only a couple of years. However, all the options we found for a spray head, even the more expensive ones, also had defects and problems according to their reviews, so we took the easy path and purchased an identical replacement. Since it is identical to the earlier one it was very easy to install, and so far, it is working fine.

Works as expected, kind of a pain to install

Works great, but if you’re replacing your existing sprayer, it can be tricky to get the metal clip off. I tried to show it in the photos, but after unscrewing the sprayer itself, you have to push the base part backwards along the hose to expose the metal clip at the end of the hose nipple. I used two forks to pop the clip off, so it’s possible to do it solo, but it probably would have been much easier with someone else (or a vise) holding the base—make sure to do this toward the floor or cover your garbage disposal so the clip doesn’t fall down into it. After that, all the old stuff slides off the end of the hose and you do it all again in reverse with the new parts. Once again the clip is the most annoying part. I found it helpful to use pliers (regular, not needle-nosed) and again it would probably be easier with a partner. If your faucet is pretty old, I would also consider changing the hose while you’re doing all this work. I changed out my sprayer a while back only to have the (very old) hose itself crack within a couple of months and I had to do the same dance all over again. If you choose to replace the hose, make sure to buy a “basin wrench” and save yourself another world of pain. They are cheap enough that even if you are only going to use it once, it’s worth it. You might tell yourself you can do it with a regular wrench or pliers. Don’t try. Under the sink is not a fun place, and you want to be in and out as quickly as possible. Also, don’t be surprised if the new sprayer doesn’t seem to have as much pressure as your old one. That’s what happened to me. My guess is that limestone buildup inside the old sprayer was narrowing the exits and giving it a boost, but who can say?

Not necessarily universal

I made it work, but not without tinkering and adding washers to keep it from leaking/dripping. Never did screw down to meet original hose, but not leaking and sit in holder without showing gap.

Cracked after a few weeks

After a few weeks, it started to leak and it was cracked

Very cheap quality

Needed one for replacing a broken one. It felt super cheap quality but every review seemed positive. Until a couple days later the handle came clean off and sprayed everywhere. You get what you pay for, but even as an add on item, its not worth the hassl. better off getting something for merely twice the price not to deal with this silliness again.

This spray head was a perfect replacement for my original one that was cracked and leaking. I am very satisfied.
