This is great - why doesn't everyone sell these?

I searched and searched for these until Google told Amazon that this is what I'm looking for. Then it "mysteriously" showed up several days later in another search as "...others also bought". If you're installing a kitchen sink with a dishwasher drain connection (AKA dishwasher tailpiece), you need a tailpiece to connect the sink basket (drain through bottom of sink) to the P-trap (u-shaped piece that holds always-standing water so sewer gases can't come into your home). If you go to a big box store, they sell a kit that consists of a sink tail piece that you connect to a slip joint on the dishwasher tailpiece that connects to another slip joint on the top of the p-trap. More than you want to know? I get it! The "right" way to do this with a minimum number of connections (AKA future leak points) is a flanged tailpiece that connects to the bottom of the sink basket, has a branch spike for the dishwasher drain hose, then the tailpiece tube connects to the slip joint on top of the P-trap. One piece, both jobs, one less leak point! More importantly, today's popular farmhouse style sinks are deeper, which means inside the sink cabinet your plumbing hangs lower, gobbling up valuable headroom that my wife has to have to store about 12 million bottles of miscellaneous cleaning stuff. Having this one piece dishwasher tailpiece saves a couple of inches of vertical space inside the sink cabinet. I know, more than you wanted to know, but this product will save you money, be less prone to future leaks, AND save space inside the cabinet. And it's easier to install than two separate pieces!

Gets the job done

It did the job

The adaptor was good, but as many have indicated, it came with no washers. I was lucky in that the ones in my trap were still good and didn't leak. I removed the plastic "washer" from the old, deteriorating metal fitting and put it in the top of the adaptor. I was able to stop all leaks by hand tightening the nuts. It has been working fine for a couple weeks, so I assume there will not be any issues with it.

Loved it.... Working fine for our uses.

Not as thick as I would like it for sense of durability but for our project of hooking our dishwasher into the sink drain, IT WAS A SUPERIOR VALUE and the perfect product we were looking for. We installed it vertically under the sink strainer bowl but you can install horizontally as well. The dishwater outflow through it might seem "noisy" as it is an ultra simply designed intake BUT WE DON'T CARE. It got the DIY job done. Picky people take a hike.

Damaged part

Received with the nut split. Cannot install. I attempted to glue the nut back together, but it won’t hold.
