Best boots!!

I love these boots. I have thicker calves and they fit great. Wore them to a concert right out of the box. Super comfy and cute!

4.5 * Comfy casual Western look & heel for muscular calves

For wide calves and for comfort with boot socks & wide feet due to a bunion, I ordered size 8W. So both the boot shaft and the toe box are wide & roomier. The look of the color is like a tan boot that’s “distressed” with black dye coloring. They’re not dressy but they’re very comfortable right out of the box & look authentic western rather than “fashion”. I’ll be wearing these for barn chores so the riding heel is perfect for stirrups, and easy on my bad back for long days. Sole is ok for two-stepping (better than rubber soles) but doesn’t slide as well as a true smooth leather bottomed boot sole does - so use powder on soles to avoid a sudden stop wrenching your knees. The leather outer seems thin, but it’s soft & pliable for this reason. The inner lining makes it comfortable & silky against your leg & clothes, but means I can’t see the sueded side of the leather inside the boot. Not sure if they’ll weather & wear well, we shall see. I paid a very discounted price for a pair that was returned, so it won’t break my heart if they get blemished; I wanted a great fit for a work horse boot. These are that. If I had seen these on a shelf I wouldn’t have thought the leather was real, as it feels like “PU Leather” but Laredo says it’s not that.

19 inch calves

I have a size 19 inch calf and they are perfect. I wear a size 14-16 jean so it isn’t uncommon. They were perfectly fit and not cutting into my calves. I highly recommend cute and comfortable.

Calf size is a TRUE wide width!

FINALLY!! I've found a boot that is true wide calf!! I had literally 15 mins to spare before leaving for the Houston Rodeo and when these arrived at my door! I slipped them on like a glove with no problemos. I have very large calves, not because I'm a runner or a dancer, but because I'm big boned and need to lose some damn weight! I walked about five miles last night in these boots with no issues. Laredo, please make more of these boots!

Wow!! I never thought boots would fit my giant calves but guess what!!!

If you've wanted western boots but thought that you'd never find any that fit your giant calves, buy these! They will fit. My calves are HUGE and these fit. Now to be real these actually fit lower than my calves, they come up about 8" to 10" on my leg, so measure there. The deep 'v' is really what allows larger calves to fit. Mine fit and there is even extra space. I also think it is the 'v' cut of the shaft and not just bigger around that make these boots actually look more like regular boots....not wide calf boots. I bought the 11w which in any other shoe is wide enough for my wide feet with socks. These were a super tight squeeze but I got them on! I was heartbroken that they fit my calves but were so tight on my feet that there was no way I was going to be able to wear them long. So I did some research online about getting boots to fit and found a horseriding forum that had a number of posts about how to stretch boots. Most of them said to stand in a horse trough for 15 minutes and wear wet till dry. Repeat till perfect. I don't have access to a horse trough but do have access to a sink...however that was going to be my last resort (didn't want to submerge my new boots first thing). I folded down the calf of the boot (the leather and lining is super flexible) and slid it over my small plugged in clothes steamer (I also think a spray bottle mist of hot water till damp will work too since the boots were pretty damp after 5 minutes on the steamer). I let the boot steam until damp (about 5 minutes), let it cool off (make sure it's cool), then slid my socked foot inside. I did this a few times with both boots and eventually put on a pair of those fuzzy slipper socks the 3rd time. That made them slightly bigger than my foot and just how I wanted them. I will say that the arches feel kind of weird like they are 1/2 and inch too far back, but that's not a deal breaker. I'm going to wear them with my Dr. Scholls inserts if I have to wear them for longer periods of time. I've already tried it and they feel great. I will also be super careful with them, especially the toes. The leather is some kind of split hide, not full grain, so they aren't going to last forever, however, I love them and look forward to wearing them more....and buying a black pair if they ever have one.

Beyond satisfied

These boots are AMAZING I have always wanted some cowgirl boots and would go into the stores and every boot I tried on was either tight on my feet because I have wide feet or on my calves due to my big calves and these boots fit both I am so pleased and beyond happy to wear them

If you need really wide, these are the boots for you.

I have very large calves and these boots are too wide. Nice boots, but if I wear my bootcut jeans over them you can see where the boots are holding the jeans out. Tucking skinny jeans, there is still alot of room.

Use chemicals that cause cancer

Beautiful boots but was a little alarmed when reading the warning on the box they came in regarding a chemical that is used that could be cancer causing. Other than that they fit on the bigger side I had to size down half a size and also not 100% sure they are leather as the texture feels nothing like any leather I have seen. I haven't had them long enough or wore them enough yet to judge the quality or how well they are made. Not the most comfortable boot I have owned maybe would be better with an insert.

Make sur to note those are for wide calf. Bougth my size 8,5. Wide enough. Put a sole in it and they fit perfect. Sooo confortable and great look
