They work, one arrived broken.

One was broke during shipment. Wanted me to send it back, but I threw it away. Was charged for the replacement. They work.

Much darker than anticipated

I don't know if anything would be showier under this light as anticipated. I didn't notice any with the more fluorescent items in my tank. Way too dark too. Ended up switching back to regular bulbs for the community tank.

not what you expect.

This bulb puts off a very very very very dim bluish purple spot light...surprisingly dim. The bulb is blue. This worked for my 10 gallon though because on one side of the tank I want it dim...and on the other side I put an expensive fluorescent bulb in that puts off little heat.

"Glo" but it works fine as a light

Not sure why it is called Aqua Glo as it does not make anything in my tank, "Glo" but it works fine as a light. My other one broke so I got this one. Seems fine but nothing special.

Not a glo but a good source of heat

No it is not a glo light which I knew from the other reviews however it is a great heat source. I use this light for my hermit crabs for heat. It helps keep their tank at a good temperature. My hermits are the pets in my preschool classroom. I was gifted a tank with a hood, so instead of buying a whole heating lamp I use this bulb and a low heat tank heating pad and it keeps my hermit tank between 73 and 77
