Great for low muscle tone!
My daughter has a genetic syndrome- which includes her having low muscle tone along with her developmental delay. I read some reviews about the weight, which made me iffy to buy at first because my daughter was already 20+ when I found this. But rest assured! It holds her perfectly fine. I like that the disc isn’t connected to the mat.. better for storing! This tummy time mat helps improve head control and stability, as well as teaches infants to put weight on their arms in front of them. I also love the wide variety of “toys” there’s crinkle sounds, a mirror, and lots of colors for them to look at! My daughters physical therapist & developmental therapist love that I got this!

more helpful for learning to crawl that tummy time
My baby hated tummy time so we thought we would try yet another toy to distract him but it would only last 10-12 minutes before they were banshee screaming. But, now that crawling is starting, they love it! They last about 15 minutes but that time is spent moving around the circle and tucking those legs up which is great practice.

My son loves this tummy time toy
My son hates tummy time but he absolutely love this tummy time spinner. It's a great way to get him to corporate for tummy time. Thank you so much for this product he's happy so I am too.

I think it hypnotizes my toddler.
Oh my goodness. My 19 month old got this for Christmas yesterday. I read all the positive reviews and some were saying 2+ year olds were even enjoying it so I gave it a shot. First he seemed scared of it, and I had the fleeting thought “shouldn’t have recycled the box, because now I can’t return it.” After his nap, though, it was a whole different story. He literally stood and played with this on and off for hours. Nothing has ever held his attention like this except for 1) certain shows on tv which we limit 2) the iPad which we limit and 3) the robot vacuum. If he walked away from it for a minute and someone else turned it off to save the batteries (or their ears) he would immediately notice and run back to it to turn it on again. I have two complaints: 1. after two straight days the song it plays is driving me crazy. There is a way to use it without music, but if your toddler knows how the controls work-that’s out. 2. After two straight days we’re already on our second set of C batteries. (So pricey!) I ordered rechargeable ones to hopefully save me from financial ruin over the long run. Major, major hit at our house. Even if he loses interest rather quickly, for me it was worth it for how much enjoyment and independent play it has provided so far.

For Babies who Hate/Are Behind on Tummy Time
This unique product has some flaws, but is ingenious in concept. If your baby hates tummy time, but needs it, this may help. My baby is almost 4 months and super strong... except when he's on his tummy. That's because every time we tried, baby would be hitting his little nose on the mat, and wouldn't tolerate practice. This toy keeps his face off of the floor, and entertains him while he's using it. He now will tolerate up to 5 minutes, and we've only had it a week. We also hope this will help him see that he can use his arms and legs to move around (he's a little too small for that still) so when the time comes he has the upper body strength to crawl. You MUST supervise closely. The spinning saddle has no belts and can be tipped, so you will need to be next to your baby making sure s/he doesn't slide out of place, fall off or tip over. The fabric is cheap but it's not horrible. It is colorful and has sewn on toys and crinkle sleeves, plus a mirror to help distract baby while s/he learns to hold his head up when on his tummy.

I got the Captain Calamari version.
I think this is the older version / model. I was expecting a lady bug and flower theme. The mat was also smaller than I expected. I can already tell there are differences that the newer version “corrected.” For example, the fish is on a short tether compared to the bee on the lady bug version. I will update my review once my baby has tried it a few times.

Colorful and entertaining
My daughter just turned 3 months old and usually screams within 1 min of being put on her tummy. When I have put her on the tummy time mats with the pillow she usually finds a way to push herself off of it and screams with her face in the pillow. This is a neat idea. She fits perfect on the seat that spins. She is 23 inches long. That mat though is very small, much smaller than I thought it would be. The toys are fun. My daughter really has no interest in the toys yet, but does love the mirror. When I put her on it for the first time she smiled and laughed and watched herself in the mirror for about 5 minutes before she started to cry. I figure that is pretty good for a first try. She has only had it for a few days and still only stays on for about 5 minutes. She has not learned to spin yet. She enjoys me laying her on her back to the spinner and spinning her around the room though. Overall this is a fun toy for her to play on with or w/o the spinner. I think she will enjoy this toy when she is able to sit on her own. I don't think though that this will help her learn to crawl like good old fashion tummy time.

It's ok
If this product were half the price I'd give it more stars. My son only plays with it for a couple minutes. We've had it for a year and most of the parts don't work anymore. It EATS D batteries so it's expensive to play with. Just not worth it

Fun toy but not very safe
My baby likes it, so at least there's that but I expected more from Lamaze, as we do love their toys, especially at that price! The table has no anti slip feet so even on carpet or play mat it won't stay put and on top of that it is really unstable. If the baby leans on it or tries to pull herself up, the table will fall on top of her. So we can only use it while holding it in place so she won't hurt herself. We could use it without the legs but it immediately loses it's appeal for my baby who loves standing up at the moment.

A must for babies keen to stand!
This is a fabulous table to encourage babies to stand - it’s really sturdy. My son was keen to be on his legs at 3.5-4months old and he was able to grip the edge. Now he’s 6months old and playing with the accessories. Although the legs can be easily removed the table is currently to big for my son to sit and play, this might improve as he gets bigger. Bought when on offer so it was value for money, wouldn’t pay full price.

Daughter loves it!! Well done Lamaze
The media could not be loaded. My daughter absolutely loves this activity table from Lamaze. It was very quick and easy to set up, however you will need 4 Type C batteries which ain't provided in order to use it properly. The table is turned on by controls at the side where you can either turn it on without sound (perfect for parents) and 2 volume levels after that. Typical that my child prefers the top sound level, which is actually VERY loud which is impressive, however it WILL get annoying for the adult/parent after 20 minutes. The activity board has 4 characters that move around the table, where there are many sensory entertainment to keep her amused such as lights, sound, waving seaweed by blowing air and a fishtail flipper to move the 4 pieces quickly. My daughter is almost 2, so it was used with the legs, however for younger ages it would be great to use without the legs to use on then floor. It may seem expensive however the joy and excitement from your child really cannot be matched. My daughter can get bored of toys easily, however this was the first toy in a long time where you could see she was clearly excited and enjoying all of the elements of it. The volume will annoy you so be warned, especially if you are watching tv or trying to concentrate. This would make a fabulous birthday or Christmas gift. I would HIGHLY recommend!!! ★★★★★
