great looking - but...

The Kraus KEA-18825CH is a perfect match to LITB's toilet paper holder. It is made of solid brass with heavy chrome coating, and as such it deserves 5 stars. However I have an issue with Kraus' method of mounting the holder. It has a largish square plate with a single tightening screw which does not grip tight enough for such a long (9") holder. They need to add a screw in order to solidify the grip. I mounted the holder on a very hard tile surface, and the towel holder still feels a bit flimsy. As such I give the product 3+ stars. I will caution that this holder SHOULD NOT be installed into a dry wall! There is no way it will hold securely in the long run. The installer should find a stud, behind the wall, if s/he wants the holder to be mounted securely.

Good as partner to large towel bar

I wish this had two brackets instead of one. We followed the recs in the reviews and screwed it into the stud but it still moves when someone pulls at it. It looks great and is quality made. It protrudes 3" from the wall just like the large towel bar so make sure that's what you want visually.

Won't stay level - it droops

My husband is a handyman, does everything and fixes everything and he spent about 3 - 4 hours trying to get this towel bar not to droop. Finally he glued it to the wall to make it stay put. I would not buy it unless you live with an incredible handyman like I do. The quality of the product is nice but really the attaching part does not work right. What baffles me is that it's hard to find an 8" or 9" towel bar. The smallest used to be 18". How can you hang one hand towel near a powder room sink on something so long? And I hate towel rings. In our master bathroom I had to buy a shower stall handle since I wanted real modern and we installed them on both sides of his and hers vanities. If any manufacturers are reading this you are missing the boat by not manufacturing lovely 9" towel bars for a single hand towel.

Beautiful & modern look. Reversible. Awesome!

These are simply stunning. I didn't trust the cheapo anchors it came with, so I used Toggler SnapToggles (3/8") and it worked out just fine. Note that the handing CAN be reversed, unlike with many others. You just remove the two screws holding the rod onto the base plate and flip it over & put the screws back in. In this way, you can avoid having the set-screw showing on top when mounting left-handed. The tiny allen-screw set screw is frustrating to tighten up against the wall, but it is the only way to get the nice look, so just grin & bear it.

Beautiful, but use different wall anchors if you can't find a stud

These arrived with low quality wall anchors that didn't hold up the towel ring because it is so heavy. I used higher quality anchors and now the towel ring is firm and straight on the wall. I couldn't find a stud in the wall, so I was forced to use anchors. This product is very beautiful and looks fantastic in our modern styled master bathroom.

Kraus KEA-14425CH Aura bathroom handtowel bar

I purchased two hand towel bars to fit on each side of the mirror above the vanity counter. These are contemporary sleek looking hand towel bars and not rings as the official Kraus title indicates. The quality is excellent and they are easy to attach to the wall. However, I was shocked to see that we had to mount one of them with the screw on top (logo on the bottom), very disappointing. Kraus should give the customer a chance to get two towel bars that are eachother's opposite. If you only need one than this is not and issue as the Kraus logo will face you. Overall a very well made, nice looking towel bar.

OK but some issues.

Finish on these is great but the way they're put together isn't. They are actually 3 pieces and they will move. I mounted mine perfectly level and the hanger itself will move up and down about 3 degrees. Me no like. You can tighten the fasteners all you want, I did, and it won't make any difference. I'm looking for a tiny wedge of metal, like a paper clip to inset in the top gap. Had tolerances on the pieces been tighter this problem wouldn't have existed for the hanger. You get: Base: fastened to the clip with two Philips screws. Clip: fastened to the hanger with a single larger Philips screw. Base to clip can turn a little but not much. Clip to hanger, same thing. Taken together and the hanger can move off level. They need to redesign these. In case you're wondering they can be reversed to install without the set screw showing. You just have to take them apart.

The perfect towel ring!

The ring is very nice. It is solid, good looking, modern. It is perfect for our bathroom. Happy with the purchase. As usual, amazon was great with delivery.
