OK... I'm Impressed
I have multiple bicycles and have assembled a couple from scratch, and I have never found a tire that I couldn't get on the rim. I've come close. I've seen plenty of problem tires -- but not like the new one on my wife's bike (and yes, it's the correct size for the rim). I fought with that thing for over an hour, and after being physically wiped out and almost breaking my thumb -- I decided there had to be a better way. This tool is the ticket to getting the bead onto the rim quickly and without drama. I popped that tire on the rim in less than 15 seconds. I know there is a Park Tool (the PTS-1 Tire Seater) that does this, but it costs $76.95 on their US website today, and you still have to pay for shipping and taxes as well. Unless your doing this for a living or just want one made out of metal, you can buy 5-6 of these to replace any that you break. Speaking of that, I don't see how you're going to break it anytime soon, unless you mistreat it. Yes, it will wear out and the Park Tool will probably be passed down to generations -- it they even want it. I've seen YouTube Video's on this, and there must have been earlier models that broke easier, as this model doesn't look like the early one's shown -- this one looks like it's been improved. I'm sure you can break it, as it's just nylon.... but from what I have seen, if you use it correctly then it should last a while. Just start at the edges and work toward the center, and it will pop that bead on the rim. Speaking of that... it doesn't come with instructions, so look at YouTube if you're not sure how to use it.

it works- sort of
This is my tool of last resort when trying to get a tough tire bead seated back on the rim. It's not magic, it still takes several tries, the lever side is L-shaped, so it doesn't quite grab the bead as well as if it had a slight hook, but if you're persistent, it'll work. FYI, I was trying to seat a new Continental 700x25c tire. I've had several "normal" tire levers made out of the same plastic that have snapped on me, so the jury is still out on how durable this tool will be, although I admit a metal composition would be more slippery. I tend to leave this tool at home for flat repairs and new installs, as its size is a bit large to fit into a small saddle bag, and it only serves one purpose: tire install, not tire removal.

Better than using just your hands
This seems to work OK for getting a tight tire onto a rim. I think it’s better than using tire irons to put a tire on because no chance of poking the tube during install. Does feel like it’s going to break every time I use it but hasn’t so far.

Helpful for mounting tires
Item works for me with difficult to mount tires where normal tire levers don’t work so well. I ordered two of these – one to carry with the bike and another for home use.

essential sometimes
Useful when tire fits extremely tightly. We have one bike that even the mechanics at the shops can't get a tube in without slicing it unless they use this tool.

It can be a lifesaver
You're in the middle of the Mojave desert & get a flat on your bike. You set about changing the tire, but the tire is VERY tight & you just can't get it on. This is what you need.

Only good for 700C tires
Does not work for wider tires like 26x2 cruiser and MTB bikes. It does work fine for 700C road bike tires.

It works! I really needed this!
I don't care how many youtube videos you have watched about putting tight tires on stubborn rims and and how good you think you are at doing this, if you try fitting Goodyear Eagle F1 Tubeless tires on a DT Swiss 1400 ERC rim, you will not be able to get them on without a lever. They are designed to work together, but they are not designed to be assembled without tools. But levers run the risk of pinching, and when you are out and about on your bike, you don't want that risk. Also, I broke a lever trying on a roadside tube replacement, which required me to call someone to come pick me up. If the tire breaks a lever, just imagine trying to get the tire on by hand! This handy tool takes a long, difficult and frustrating job and makes it easy. So much so, that I went ahead and installed my latex tubes, something I have planned to do but didn't want to risk pinching them. It works by pulling the outside of the bead over the rim, just like you would do if you had amazingly strong hands, without inserting anything between the bead and the rim. Better for the rims, better for the bead, better for your tube, and most of all, better for your fingers. Note on weight: This tool and a latex tube together have about the same weight as a butyl tube alone, so there is no increase in my total weight when taking this along in my seat bag. I have never purchased anything for my bicycle that gave me such satisfaction at such a low price. Also, MADE IN U.S.A. and the quality of manufacture shows.

Best tyre fitting tool I've used.
Best tyre fitting tool I've used for stubborn tubeless tyres or clinchers on tight tubeless rims. Save yourself a few quid and go direct to SJS cycles.

forget the stupid levers!
After 30 minutes of fruitless attempts to mount the toughest Shawalbe Marathon tire on a 20" rim, I finally went on YouTube to see how people do it. That's where I learned about this tool. It took me less than 5 seconds to mount the same tire with it :)

Very helpful
Certainly worth taking on a ride. I have used it so many times to help others and few times for my own tires. Why not use this instead of struggling with getting the tire back on the rim? Easy as.
