The best part of the bar is the adjustability of the ...

I bought this as a replacement for an older 24" white Kohler bar that was in our shower and falling apart. As others have stated only the bar is metal, the rest including the brackets and end pieces are plastic. The best part of the bar is the adjustability of the brackets on the bar to fit preexisting holes. I was able to add 1/2" to the bar brackets to fit the old holes fairly easily. Those who say the holder isn't adjustable from its 90 degree orientation are incorrect. It turns (clicks) but it takes some effort. Since I only needed to do this once at the install I'm fine with that but if you change the angle regularly it's probably not the best. I was also able to fit the hose/hand shower in the holder but had to flip it upside down from the way it came. One side is larger than the other. I also reversed the holder to the other side for my application. Hopefully it holds up for awhile but it's better than the one it replaced. In short if you're looking to replace an existing bar it's great but there are probably better ones out there if you're starting from scratch and drilling holes for a first time application.

Perfect addition to make head taller

This is perfect to add to you shower with adjustable head. It can make it taller or shorter in seconds

It works as advertised

This bar is sturdy and beautiful if you are looking for a bronze bar for your shower. It works great and I love that the handle holder also can be pivoted. So not only does the handle slide up and down, but it can be pivoted up and down as well. I love it!

Cannot hold heavy shower head

Shower head holder is too weak to hold my shower head, I dropped the shower head several times. So now I adjusted the shower head angle to almost 90 degree upright. Since I was unable to find a slide bar that fits exactly into the existing screw holes on the shower booth. So I have to use this one regardless of its shower head holding power. Eventually, I also replaced the old heavy shower head to a light weight cheap one.

Easy to install, but won't hold a heavier/premium shower wand. See photo - it just falls over.

This was a good price and very easy to install. The adjustable mounting blocks made it trivial to re-use the existing holes. Unfortunately, the shower wand holder doesn't have enough friction and doesn't seem to be adjustable, so our shower wand falls immediately / tilts to face the floor and wall. If you have a lightweight/plastic shower wand, this could be great for you. If you have a heavier/premium/metal shower wand, suggest finding another option.
