Works so far!

This is a replacement to one that cracked during usage. Hopefully, this last a while. I do expect better quality from Kohler. Only time will tell. Looks great!

Solid concept; working well...

I'm sure I'm not the first reviewer to point out that this shower head should be described as "molded plastic; polished chrome appearance." I'm not opposed to plastic when it's designed correctly, and this head seems to fit the bill. I can't imagine how expensive or heavy this would be if it were chrome plated brass construction. The flip head works pretty well. Not that it matters too much, but when mounted in the holder, the head doesn't change from one spray nozzle to the next until it's rotated back and pointing at the base of the shower wall. I suppose that is preferable to transitioning too early and blasting a stream of water over my head, but maybe Kohler could implement a short "off" in between rotation points. In fact, the lack of an "off" is one of my criticisms. That's almost a necessity when washing dogs or kids. Instead, this shower head requires the water to be shut off at the faucet, which means readjusting the water temp. My Delta shower head has a drizzle setting that's practically off, so there's no temperature shock when I set the water to flowing again. I ought to point out that I have this head mounted to a Hansgrohe Unica wall bar (using Hansgrohe's included hose), and it mounts up flawlessly -- no adapters needed. Even the finishes match well. My only other quibble is the pressure seems to be a bit on the low side, especially considering the house has exceptionally good pressure, and I'm running on all new 3/4" copper pipes. But perhaps there's a bit of slag blocking one of the screens upline somewhere -- if I eventually find that to be the case, I'll update this review. But, even so, it's a nice, uncomplicated shower head, great for us adults, the kids, smelly furry critters, and even the father in law who seems to have a knack for breaking anything detachable and/or with moving parts.

LOVE it!

Ok I'm fresh out of the shower, so perfect time to share my thoughts - This is no less that the FIFTH showerhead I purchased, in trying out new ones (after old one broke down). MY main want is water pressure. My old shower-head had really good pressure, but the new ones I tried didn't match up. My old one was a cheaper WaterPik, and the newer ones were in the 100 dollar plus range. I actually still have one of the Deltas, and was holding onto it until I tried this one out. Of course, this one is just a head, so I needed a hose and wall connector. Anyways, THIS IS WHAT I'M TALKING ABOUT!!! This thing has 4 different spray settings, and all of them are very different, and are useful! The FIRST showerhead I've ever experienced like that!! Most others have useless settings... THESE settings are really quite pleasureful! And the mix of softer and harder sprays is JUST what the doctor ordered. The only thing I wish this had is a pause switch, when it's time to soap up and stuff. The Delta has that, and I was really getting good use out of it. But this thing is just TOO hott! I like it!!! Now I need to find a good hose and connector/mount (not sure what that piece is called). Considering that a hose and the mount will probably put the final price-tag at less than one hundred bucks, I'm a happy camper. I mean, I don't think that's cheap, but at least with this, I'm getting a really nice showerhead with very exotic spray settings that actually are worth something. One other thing, I was going to remove the flow restrictor, but luckily I perused the reviews here first, and read another reviewer who did that, and got much more pressure, but the mist feature isn't soft for her anymore. I thought I'd try it first before removing the restrictor, and now I'm kinda leaning against taking it out. WHO'D have ever thought that?!!!!! Anyways, there it is. I feel refreshed :-D

The only shower head I'll ever have for the rest of my life

I bought one of these something like five years ago. We moved recently and I had to buy a new shower head because we now have two bathrooms. My daughter pretty much demanded she get to keep the Flipside in her bathroom. I thought it was okay because my wife and I could shop around for something much more robust and extravagant. The problem was that we never were able to find something like that. I bought a new shower head, but it was not as good. Even with its more than six settings, it just didn't compare. I have to believe at this point that even one of those surround showers with all the different heads on it wouldn't even be as good as the Flipside. I had to break down, now six months into our new place, and find the Flipside. I couldn't find it in stores, though last time we bought it at Home Depot. I'm glad to find it on Amazon and I lucked out as it was on sale. I still wouldn't have minded it not being on sale because of how amazing it is. I just received it today and instantly swapped it in for the old one and jumped in the shower. It feels so gentle and the rain setting is exactly as it says, it feels like real rain! I love sitting in the shower sometimes just enjoying that "rain". The mist setting is absolutely unbeatable. The normal shower setting is really nice and the power wash setting is great for massage and even cleaning the shower and tub. This is probably the only shower head I'll ever have for the rest of my life.

Product is great..until it breaks

So we had this shower head for several years (9?). I like it because it pivots to change spray heads, instead of dialing the head which is hard to do with soapy hands. Last week it broke off at the base which I couldn't get out of the hose, so that had to be replaced too. It supposed to have a lifetime warranty, which is nice, if you can reach someone at Kohler. No one appears to be answering the phone. They wanted the receipt from the showerhead, but the contractor who renovated our bathroom has it, I don't. Generally speaking I still like the product, it's the product service I don't care for. I should just be able to take it back where I purchased it (or anywhere that carries it for that matter) and get a replacement. Too much red tape to get a simple shower head replaced. They say "life time warranty" but then make it so onerous to get it replaced, it's not worth your time. I'll see how long it lasts. I should mention in fairness we have really hard water where I live which is hard on plumbing parts.

Love the spray options. Disappointed in quality.

Our last one broke after two years. But the pressure seemed stronger than this one. I'm a bit disappointed in that. Otherwise I do like this shower head.
