Extender arm is key for not using a ceiling mount

Adding the 14” extended arm was key for our shower head (search KOHLER K-13688-BN 8-Inch Contemporary Round Rain Showerhead, Vibrant Brushed Nickel ). Looks great and the ability to move the head is nice. I used my other hole cover for my install instead of the one that comes with the shower head. Remember to use lots of plumbing tape and wind it clockwise. Make sure you have clearance for the extender arm as well.. Keep in mind that you do not get the extender ceiling arm as shown in the product picture for the shower head.

You can do it yourself if you want to.

I made the mistake of initially buying a “chrome” shower arm from a big box store. Got it home and it didn’t match my existing shower hardware. I found this shower arm online; polished chrome. I got it within the specified time and was super happy with the look, weight and feel. It was easy to install and added such a great look to my shower. If you’re looking to have a more custom look to your shower and less splash to the rear of your shower...this is a great purchase.

As expected, but wish it was a bit longer.

We bought this for our master bathroom addition and it came as expected. After it was installed, however, it made me realize that it would be perfect it was at least an extra 3" longer for a 3'x5' shower. As it is right now you're showering really close to the wall. I still like it nonetheless.

Works fine.

Extends the shower head several inches farther from the wall than the arm included with my shower head. It installs easily, the price was fair, and the delivery service excellent.
