It does what it's supposed to

It looks and does what it is supposed to. The only thing I would change would be to add some kind of rubber grip on the inside part that holds your shower head to keep it in position. You have to constantly mess with the hose/ head to get it facing straight. I have a little ocd just a little annoying. But other than that it looks and works fine.

Do not believe the "brass" description!

I bought two of these in oil rubbed bronze for two showers to thread onto separate nipples coming out of the wall to supply a hand shower in each bathroom. The fitting also serves as a cradle for the handshower unit itself, which in both of my showers is a fairly heavy brass & plastic handshower. I already installed one of these several years ago in one of my showers, but it was plastic, and I wanted to replace it with brass as is stated in the description of this fitting. The second unit I bought was for a new shower installation. Sadly, these fittings are plastic also, so I am returning one of them. I am forced to use one of them in the new installation. Ironically, I bought an identical fitting for my daughter's shower remodel a year ago, except it was in chrome. Her chrome fitting is in fact, solid brass. A small part of this fitting (the threaded part that screws onto the 1/2" pipe), is in fact brass, but the rest of the fitting is plastic. Hopefully it won't break. I am disappointed. I don't understand why it is solid brass if chrome plated, but not if oil rubbed bronze. I don't know about the other finishes.

Matches our shower head perfectly, and holds it well. NB: this piece is plastic, although it looks metal. And we ruined our old one with sideways movement of the shower head. Make sure to slide it up and down to go in and out. Luckily it was an inexpensive replacement.

Good shower cradle, but not not what I expected.

This is a very good shower cradle and did fit my Kohler brand shower hand sprayer. It is advertised as having a brass ball joint for pivot action. This was true - the part that attaches to the water supply line from the house was a brass ball, with a metal nut (presumably also brass) to hold the assembly in place. The rest of the unit (and specifically the portion that holds the shower hand-held nozzle) was plastic. I have had TREMENDOUS problems with units that have plastic cradles. The plastic splits on the arms, and over time isn't strong enough to hold the shower arm in place, making it essentially useless. While it is functional now, I expect in time (as I have had to do 4 previous times with Kohler directly) I will need to replace this unit too. Kohler is supposed to have lifetime warranties on their parts, so I wouldn't spend $30 on this unit, and would contact Kohler directly and report the defect.

won't hold its hand shower

I figured id buy the awaken hand shower and cradle together. the hand shower is nice, it seems mostly metal and seems quality. this part is not. its mostly plastic, its very light and definitely does not hold up the hand shower. I tried adjusting it a number of times but the hand shower kept drooping. at least it didn't leak. returned.

works well with the accompanying showerhead. Be sure when ordering Kohler online to only buy accessories from the same line as items from other branded Kohler lines may not work together.
