Some Detail Info After Studying Kohler's Site and Using Customer Service
Update Sep 2022: The 2018 seal is still working fine. I've been careful not to put cleaners into the tank. Update Nov 2020: So, 2 1/2 yrs later, the seal I bought in 2018 still is working well. I'm glad folks found below helpful. This seal worked to stop what I call cycling (others call it ghosting) on my 4 yr old Kohler dual flush toilet -- where some water silently leaks out of the tank and, after a few minutes, the tank refills to full. If your tank has a white canister in the middle, with tabs at the bottom allowing you to vertically pull it out (vs the canister model which twists out), this seal is a great candidate as a fix. And as others have mentioned below, my old seal had several hard bumps, each the size of 1/4 to 3 BB's -- I'm sure one or more sitting on the plastic pipe fitting were the source of the leak. The main thing I want to add is that the Kohler web site has tools to determine the model toilet and then spec sheets with exploded parts diagrams of the tank workings. Look at the toilet spec sheets closely -- you may see different part nos for the tank and bowl on the sheet. If you can't get to the diagram of the parts, try googling your tank model number and looking for the diagram via the tank data sheet (not easy to get to except via google). And, all else failing, Kohler's customer service is very helpful/responsive. Note also that some tanks allow for upgrade to the newer twist-on canister (a $65 part), but the upgrade requires removal of the tank. Before paying for the whole, updated canister service set and hassle of installing it ... if you have the old style with removal tabs ... definitely first try replacement of just this 1131496 seal. (The newer canister has a different seal at a different location.) All of above will be clearer if you pull the diagram(s) from the Kohler site. Above said, if you do have the pop out canister, it's very easy to use the two tabs to pull it out -- then pull off the old seal, stretch on the new, and to pop the canister back in.

Dual Flush Seal
This seal fit my dual flush mechanism perfectly and stopped the toilet "running". I had tried a generic seal previously from a big box store which fit, but did not work.

Works on Caroma two-piece Caravelle toilet
Worked perfectly on a Caroma two-piece Caravelle toilet. Apparently that is now the "old style." Our two-piece Caravelle is between ten and fifteen years old. It seems these gaskets last about a year, maybe two. The new gasket was translucent, almost clear. The old gasket was milky, a bit mottled, had some rough specs adhered on the surface, and felt waterlogged. Time for replacement. Twisting out the center column in the tank took five seconds. The twist is less than a quarter turn, maybe just one eighth (right hand thread, counterclockwise). Changing out the gaskets took ten seconds. Then twist the center column back in (clockwise). Frankly it took longer for the tank to refill than it took to replace the gasket. Success. Tank is holding water properly. This Kohler replacement part worked perfectly in my Caroma toilet. I also want tho thank those who responded to my question on this gasket. I asked if this Kohler gasket would work in the Caroma toilet. Several responded, saying it would work. It was a good example of the community as a whole being smarter than any one of us. Much appreciated.

Right Fight, Right Price, Right Color
I've lived in my house long enough to change a few of these out. The one thing that's the most frustrating is hoping that. you got the right size. Well, for our situation this was just the right one. OEM packaged parts are always a great thing to get in the mail. If this is the right specs, I suggest this one.

Fits Perfectly, Does the Job.
The fancy flush valve in our Kohler toilet suffered when I added a cleaning "tablet" to the toilet tank. There's a not in the tank that warns against using the tablets but I'm smarter than that. Until the silicone developed bubbles similar to what others report. The original lasted almost three years with my abuse. I bought the replacement and a couple spares, so I can keep using the tablets. Installation was a snap. Turn off the water supply and flush the tank level down. The flush valve releases so it will turn and can be removed. Slide the old disk out, slide the new disk in, put the flush valve back in place with a slight twist until it snaps into place. Turn the water back on. No leaks. Cover goes on the tank. Shouled be good for another couple years.

Still have the drip drip drip leak in the dual flush toilet.... but less than before
I have hard water and there must be a hard water deposit on the edge which doesn't allow the stopper part to completely stop the drip/leak. The product was the correct one and fit well so will try cleaning the lip of the drain with a brush and vinegar and see if that helps!

Simple install, works well, overpriced
Simple install, works well to stop the "ghost flushing" that has been extremely annoying. Product could be purchased for half the price or less at other online plumbing supply stores but add on shipping charges and its as much or more. I couldn't find any local stores that stocked the item, even those specializing in Kohler.

Fit perfectly
I actually tried several local stores for items that would fit and none of the universal ones were the right size, so this one as a Kohler part was a perfect fit, could have saved myself multiple store visits and returns by just looking here first.
