Sturdy, but sus

These are good sturdy brackets. I have the same product elsewhere in my home. But the ones I recently received were pitted, showing signs of rust, and the powder coat was flaking off in places. Going to use them anyway because I'm not fussy. Just something to be aware of. The ones of the same brand I found at the local hardware store had the same issue.

Does the job

I wasn't looking for anything fancy for both my boys rooms, so I am not rating this on aesthetic appeal. There seems to have been a lot of discrepancies on what you get for the price. I ordered Qty of 2 since I needed to do 2 shelves thinking the I might get a set of 2 (4 brackets total), but I only got 2 brackets total. I ended up having to order another 2. Not a big deal, but since people's questions seemed confused, here is your answer: Quantity of 1 means you only get 1 bracket for the ~ $10 price, so you need to select Qty 2 if you want to have 2 brackets for your shelf. Note: It did not come with any screws/hardware.

Good, Simple Bracket [UPDATED]

This one is nothing fancy, but it gave me the look I wanted for a length of raw-edged walnut heartwood shelf in my dining area. The black finish seems durable enough. I used simple black drywall screws on the underside of the shelf and the lower bracket hole (these finish flush) and a 1-5/8" drywall anchor for the upper bracket hole. I recommend picking up a matte black paint to match the screwheads to the brackets. Good price for the pack of 10. ******UPDATE 1/6/2016****** When I purchased this item in 2013, it was a pack of 10 for $20.70. I recently wanted more of these to match, but it appears the quantity per price has been changed. The bracket seems to be the same, and is still quite nice. I am not sure it is worth $8/bracket.

Not the prettiest but get the job done

These shelf brackets seem to be very sturdy but aesthetically they aren't the prettiest as the welds look a little sloppy. Also, trying to get a screw into a wall stud on the top hole is rather difficult as a drill/driver doesn't fit very well and a long screwdriver just isn't made for that kind of torque. These brackets would be much better suited for installing into drywall anchors. Note that screws are not included, I had to use my own.

Simple Shelf Bracket

This box of 10 brackets met my needs perfectly. I used them for a long glass shelf and they work great. Simple design looks very good under clear glass. I couldn't find any other brackets to meet my needs for the price. They are asymmetrical (one side is longer than the other) but that worked fine for me. once the brackets were in place i used the screw holes on the exposed face to hold suction cups to fix the glass in place. I am currently storing double stacked DVDs on the shelf and the brackets are holding up great.

Great but didn't fulfill my order

I like the product, but I bought 4 and they only sent me 3. Not pleased.

Not bad

This L bracket is sturdy, no wobble/no flex. Only gripe I have about these are that I had to drill/screw at an angle for the upper most mounting hole. I built a shelf above my workbench from two of these L brackets and a single 8"x2"x4'. I drilled into the studs for maximum support and I will never worry if my shelf will become unstable.

Look nice - support shelf very well.

I wanted some stiff brackets to support a small shelf that was sagging using the stamped steel "L" type. I bought only a few of these even though the shelf was 6 feet long - with just 3 of them and several of the other L type, the shelf is rigid and doesn't move at all. They aren't "gaudy" and give a good amount of clearance under the bracket unlike some of the more decorative ones. I recommend them.

One bracket delivered (not the 1 unit= 10 as stated in the description)

The description is very confusing- it states 1 unit = 10 each which I took to mean 10 shelf brackets. However, I have only received 1 bracket, which is attractive and as the photo displays but.. just the one. Disappointed as I feel lead on. The seller needs to make this more clear.
