Great crimps.
Really like these. I have to replace/ install coax connections a couple times a week. These are by far the best I found. Exceptional when cable is short or need to make connection inside box. Definitely worth the extra cost!

worked well for 1 year of full time use.
I'm a full time cable installer. This crimper has lasted the longest out of the 3 crimpers I've bought on Amazon. I crimp about 40 rj6 ends a day Monday-Friday. The design held up well, but it did not get into tight places as easy as other designs. Lasted about a year of full time use and frame snapped in half today.

Good, BUT…
The media could not be loaded. Unless you work with RG seven and RG 11 all the time this tool is likely not for you. If you work with RG six all the time and you want the tool to close when it’s in your pouch in this tool is definitely not for you unless you feel like resetting the tool every single time as shown in the video.

Easily installed PPC EX6XLWSPLUS F Connectors
I bought this to install the ubiquitous PPC EX6XLWSPLUS F Connectors, the waterproof ones that Comcast uses on their RG6/u installs. The tool feels sturdy and is easy to use. It compresses the connectors effortlessly and quickly. The EX6XLWSPLUS connectors have a rubber seal on the top. This seal gets squished when the connector is compressed in this tool, but is not damaged. It is important to note that the compressed seal displaces the connector back a few mm, so completely closing the tool will over-compress the connector and potentially damage it. To avoid this, just stop compressing when the resistance lessens and the lower "step" of the black plastic piece on the F connector is fully seated into the bottom metal housing. I'd imagine with standard compression F connectors this isn't necessary, and I'm glad this tool can accommodate both styles. Instructions noting gotchas like this would be a nice inclusion, though.

Sliced Bread!
Methinks Amazon or Amazon's customers have mixed in reviews of different Klein RG-6 Compression Crimpers and perhaps the anvil design has changed after the May 7, 2009 date first available and Nov 2020. This review is for the one I received on Aug 27, 2021. I have an old trustworthy circa 2005 Sargent 3195CT Ratcheting Snap-N-Seal Installation Tool that cost a little more than three times what this one does... It certainly is much heavier duty, but unfortunately it only works for connectors that have a groove just above the hex rotatey thing with threads in it. And I got some Gilbert GF-EFC-6 RG6 Compression Connectors that do not have the groove. Boo Hoo Hoo... The anvil appears to be indestructible and non-adjustable. It did a great job on both Snap-N-Seal and Gilbert connectors, so it appears that Klein has it set to work with most popular compression connectors. See pictures. Highly Recommended!

Works only if you know what you’re doing
The instructions are not clear, especially as it relates to crimping RG6-Q (or quadshield) cable. 1. Make sure you’re using connectors rated for quadshield 2. Watch some videos and do some googling to learn the extra steps involved for crimping quadshield. Cliffs notes: If you’re experiencing the issue where after you’ve crimped, you pull on the connector to test and it comes off, start over with a new connector and do as follows: 1. Use a stripping tool to expose the center conductor, etc (follow stripping instructions) 2. Once you have the outside insulation off, peel back the “hairs” (or the thin wires) toward the back of the cable 3. Now you have the first layer of the shield exposed. You need to score that layer and carefully peel off just that top layer of shielding. 4. This exposes more “hairs” as I recall, so peel those back as well. 5. Finally, force that new connector on that wire as far as it will go with your fingers. Put your hold hand behind it. You’re not done unless you “feel” the connector fully seat. (This was the problem for me when I wasn’t taking off that first layer of shielding. I thought I was fully searing the connector, but I wasn’t.) 6. NOW you can crimp! 7. Tug on the connector after the crimp and it will not come off. You’re done! Good job! Go teach your friends.

Like the design.
I install cable for a living and have used the same design of crimper from other companies. I like this design as it it is small and easy to use. I’ve only used the Klein version of this tool for about a month now and so far no issues. It appears to be well built and feels good in the hand. I will update the review in a couple years on the durability. I find that with this particular design, the only thing that will break is the spring for the auto open so that will be the ultimate test.( but even if the spring does break, the tool can still be used which is an extra bonus for this type of design)

Klein VDV212-008-SEN Compact F-Connector Compression Crimper
I had to use this tool to relocate some TV cables in my basement, previously installed by the cable company. The technician was too lazy to feed the wires though the 2x4s that were accessible to him but instead he chose the quickest installation, using a ton of 1/2 inch staples to secure the cabling along the exposed plaster and around the wood (2x4s). The job took me, a non-professional, fifteen minutes, to relocate and install the wires properly. This tool did the trick, it was excellent. Thank you.
