You can beat the the snot outta this screwdriver.
Great screwdriver. Made well it won’t break, it’s made for pounding on. Stop tearing up your regular screwdrivers by hitting them with a hammer, they aren’t made for that abuse . This screw driver is.

Tough but not hardcore...so pryer beware!
I own two of these both purchased from Amazon (update: now 3). One for plumbing tote and one for my electrician's pouch. They're good slotted screwdrivers primarily with a good fit and grip in my hand plus (bonus) they're durable and made to be struck (I'd say occasionally) with a hammer. But prying? Heck, yeah. I pry with it. However, it's still a screwdriver and not a pry bar or new fangled chisel. But back to prying...this is how I just broke the tip off of the latest one I just purchased (Nov 4, 2016). I was pounding it through caulk to get under a heavy-duty (old) fiberglass shower pan. I tried pounding in my Vaughn pry bar, but couldn't get under it due to high tile floor. So I hammered in this screwdriver hoping to pry up just enough to enter my pry bar. The screwdriver went in perfectly and gently I pried. Well, I guess I had too much faith in it. It pried the pan up gingerly almost to the point I could get my pry bar in there and SNAP! I broke 1/4" of the tip off--basically snapped the tip in half. Probably I could grind it down and continue using it, but I ordered a replacement. Having a second one handy, I didn't go thru separation anxiety. And this broken one still has use, but not really as a slotted screwdriver anymore. So a caution to others...it's not a virtually indestructible pry bar or cold chisel. It's a screwdriver that's marketed for irresponsible, moderate abuse. Yet, unfortunately, when you pry-break this screwdriver, it's not guaranteed nor warrantied by Klein...so pryer beware! I'll still continue to abuse this screwdriver as the bottom line is always...time is money. This multi-purpose unique screwdriver does save time because it's always nearby. Not necessarily the best tool, but it's the tool nearby and fairly robust and reliable. And after breaking one...school's out.

I always carry this now
2 YEAR UPDATE: Today she finally broke on me. I thought it would be a hammer blow that dealt defeat but in fact I was tightening a screw when the tip broke. Also, a few months ago I was trying to pry something particularly difficult and I bent the shank. But I just turned it around and bent it back so not a big deal. There is no coming back from a shattered tip though.. I still am giving it 5 stars because it stood up to 2 years of abuse remarkably well and because you can take it to a home depot and get it replaced at no charge. Gotta love a good guarantee. ORIGINAL REVIEW: I am a commercial electrician and I have nothing but good things to say about this "beater".. so far I have used this for things that would have ruined other drivers.. mostly prying and punching.. but occasionally I use it as a screwdriver too.. So far it hardly looks used! Now I only carry 2 drivers in my pouch.. this one and an 11 an 1... the rest stay in the bag now.. less weight on my back and feet all day!

Damaged Screwdriver
First of all, I blame myself. I write many reviews , but unfortunately I don't read others as much as I should. The screwdriver was offered to me for 2 dollars less because I could get a slightly used one, but advertised as like new. I ordered it, received it, and it was at best fair condition. I'm a seasoned Master Mechanic retired. I repaired the screwdriver. The tip was badly damaged, and so was the handle. It looked like a little kid got into Dad's tools and used it a cold chisel. That was my dilemma.

Beater
I previously used a standard long shank flat head as my every day beater. I mostly use this for electrical lock rings and clearing bits of tile for receptacles w/ my Klein's. I bought this as a replacement for a screwdriver that I lost in a room above an air duct somewhere. I haven't personally beat the tip off of this in 3 years of use - but my friend has the longer version and has had to grind it down. Ideal weight for me - It's better than just using a normal flat head, the metal shank prevents the handle from dying.

Good for changing steel racking in warehouse.
Ive gotten 2 of these and 2 of a different size(I lost one at work and on of the other ones was getting pretty bent when other people abused em) I like the end strike cap one of the 4 has gotten some chunks taken out of the resin or plastic of it. But I use it to pry and pound into steel beams to switch them out while change steel racking at work. It does come in useful in other situations. Don't think I've ever used it as a screwdriver however ???? ones getting kinda bent with the prying and jamming it into steel and hitting it with my 5 pound Sledge.

One of the very few demolition driver on the smaller side
When you're on a ladder, you don't want to be sticking far from the wall as it makes you lose your balance and leverage. So thus, having a shorter demolition driver makes it easier to strike and put more power behind it. Best value for the money to boot.

Not the best quality
Had another demo driver for 10 years and only replaced due to it looking sorry for itself. Bent this one on the second week of ownership. Blade is smaller than previous so no good for access hatches.

Good useful tool
Well built tool. Had to do screws with lots of torque to be applied. No damage to tip after around 40-50 screws. Like beefy handle which allows to apply more torque.

Demolition Screw Driver
Really nice solid screw driver. And to be able to hit it with a hammer without damage is excellent. Klien tools do it again. Best electricians tools around.

Find a different brand for this tool
Very disappointed in this product, expected better from Klein. After 2 months use the tip of this so called “demolition” tool broke from regular use. Changed from a 2-3 star rating as Amazon amended this problem right away. Will update after 2 months use to determine if the original one I purchased was just a bad one.
