Life changing

Low voltage electrician here - one of my big gripes on the job is searching through my pockets or tool belt pouches for electrical tape. With this I can store multiple rolls at once if I want, and I’m the only guy that NEVER has to look for my own or ask to borrow someone else’s tape. WARNING: everyone will start coming to you for tape so buy them some, too! Super affordable and will break off if it gets stuck on something, which may sound annoying, but is actually a nice safety feature.

It's huge

I didn't realize how big it was from the picture and description. You can't really get the roll off without removing the thong. I'm an engineer that ends up doing a little bit of electrical, so this is way overkill for me. It may suit you if you wear a larger pouch/belt or want to carry more tape of different sizes. See pic for scale.

This thong puts my rolls where I need them

This thong has been really helpful for my work. Things were getting twisted and I needed my rolls out where I could grab them easily. The guys at work said that I wasn't making as much money with my rolls tucked away, out of sight. I was excited the day it arrived. I immediately put the thong on my belt and slipped it through my rolls. They're average size and it fit them well. It's made of sturdy material. I'm a big guy who's hard on things, but it feels like it'll hold up to me. Then I went to work. When things got twisted, my rolls were right there where the action was! It was so easy to grab what I needed and play it out. The guys were right: now that I've got my rolls in a thong, I'm making more money than ever!

way too big!

the photo and just seeing the specs on a computer screen do not give you an accurate idea of how big this strap really is. i couldn't understand from othr reviews that said it is too big to pass certain rolls of tape. Now i do. even attached to a strap on my tool pouch, thru the thong, this thing hangs almost 6 inches below my pouch and swing around and catches or hits on almost everything. any smaller rolls of tape wont be held on the thong. it would be good for carrying several roles of tape at one time, for example while phasing out wire with all your different colors.

Great tape holder

A lot of reviews say this thing is too long, but if you’re an industrial electrician and you have phase tape plus a roll of 33 this thing is perfect but if you only have one roll of tape of course it’s too long. I have four rolls of tape on mine and it’s perfect I wish I had found this sooner.

Pretty nice for the price.

Just got it today, pretty nice for the price. Weak point might be the plastic thong(you could crush it with your hands if you try), but the leather is very strong, some cowboy stuff. It is in desperate need of conditioning, but once you go over it with some oil it is supple enough to put a bow tie around a pencil. Hangs around your belt about knuckle high, just right in my opinion.

Simple Design. Works great. Light weight and strong.

Klein (in my opinion) is second to none for electricians tools. I own a small handyman service and we are putting their products through the paces daily, with no regrets.

It was $3. It holds tape

It works. It’s a stick attached to a rope. Now that I see it, I should’ve just made one with a stick, and some rope. But for $3, it works.

use string

the bottom holder bent and broke ,as i tried to slide a roll of tape on.its made of gasket like cardboard,avoid and use some string instead,pointless to return as would cost me £10

Good, but length is a bit much. Product arrived quickly.

The strap is a bit too thick, and is hard to put the tape on. The length is also a bit too much, if it was 3 or 4 inches shorter it would be perfect for my tool pouch. In the end, I can live with it. The tape thong does it's job, and maybe after the strap gets worked in, the tape will slide over easier. I just hope it doesn't catch on something and rip off because it hangs down further off my pouch. I did know it was going to be one size and the other reviews said it was long, but I'm not sure if you can buy one in a smaller size, even off the Klein website.

Broke first day

Item broke on the first day of use. Red plastic piece is cheap and will break easily. Waste of 20$
