Very nice finish almost perfectly matches Delta Oil Rubbed Bronze
This is a very nice set. I replaced my Delta Tub Valve and Spot with a new trim kit and was hoping this overflow drain cover and tub drain would match. Bingo. Very close. It took 3 attempts to get the tub drain installed. Here are my suggestions and reasons for suggestions. Buy a tub drain wrench for $8-$10. It is well worth the expenditure as the torque required for removal and installation can be really high. I was able to remove the center brass rod which holds the stopper. This enabled me to use the wrench tool. Other reviewers have said they it was not removable, but they were wrong. It simply threads tightly into the base of the drain. I debated on using the included rubber washer. After my first install trial, with nothing but the rubber washer in place, I did’nt feel that it would seal properly. The torque required to seat the washer down was really high and I still was not comfortable that it wouldn’t leak. I removed it and them sprayed WD40 on the threads and placed plumbers putty above and below the rubber washer. The WD40 helped tremendously to reduce the torque required for installation, but once I was snugging down the drain, I discovered that the mixture of plumbers putty and rubber washer was not the solution. The rubber washer “squirted out of position” (following the flow of the plumbers putty), resulting in the rubber washer protruding well out of bounds of the tub drain flange. That was ugly. I removed the drain piece once again. I then cleaned up the plumbers putty and then re-applied plumbers putty without the rubber washer. That seems to have worked perfectly. In summary, here are my recommended steps. 1. Make sure the dimensions are correct before you buy. This is a course thread 1 3/4 OD unit. 2. Buy a tub drain wrench. 3. Remove the old drain. 4. Remove the new stopper from the part and unscrew the brass center stopper support post, which is tightly installed. 5. Clean up the bathtub hole and surrounding area. 6. Lubricate the new tub drain threads with a little WD40. 7. Roll up plumbers putty and carefully apply to the underneath side of the drain flange, assuring continuous ring around. 8. Install with wrench and crank it tight using the wrench. 9. Much of the plumbers putty should be squirting out all around the flange as it is seated. If that doesn’t happen, you probably didn’t use enough plumbers putty to fill the voids. 10. Reinstall the center brass post (I used vise grips). 11. Re-install the stopper with the Phillips head screwdriver. I hope this helps!

Quality and Price
Feels heavy duty compared to the old one that I had that maybe lasted 2-3 years. We will see how the finish holds up, but already believe its a better version than what we previously had.

Older two hole style
This item has the older two holes style on the plate. My plumber had to get the new one hole plate used in new plumbing . FYI.

Not universal
The piece is beautiful but it’s not universal size so I doesn’t fit so kind of a waste of money in my opinion make sure you measure twice because most you rains inside or 1 1/2 universally and this is a lot larger

Very good tub drain and overflow sets. We returned them because another set was purchased locally between the time we ordered these from amazon and their arrival here. They looked good quality and as described.
