It Worked!
The compressor in my refrigerator stopped working, and it would just make 10 seconds of clicking and humming noises every minute or so. Testing the resistance of the compressor's start and the run coils showed that they were still good. I suspected the run capacitor or the start/overload relay so I bought replacements and changed-out both parts, but, unfortunately, this didn't resolve the problem. If it was actually a compressor problem, it wouldn't be worth repairing, so I bought the Supco URCO810 as a last-ditch attempt to get the compressor running again. The instructions for installing the Supco URCO810 were simple, and the installation was easy. The price was also much less than what I paid for the OEM start/overload relay alone. When I plugged the refrigerator in, the compressor started-up immediately and it has been working fine for over two month's already. I'm very pleased with this product and would recommend it as long as your the resistance of your compressor's start and run coils test-out okay.

Excellent compressor test tool and backup starter
The original Embraco TSD starter in my LG fridge conked out, and I found out the hard way that the part is no longer available and neither LG nor Embraco specify a cross-reference. Purchased the URCO810 as a backup plan in case I couldn't find a solution. My LG fridge with Embraco compressor starts and runs perfectly with this Supco kit, proving that the original starter is defective. I was able to find another Embraco TSD starter under a Whirlpool part number that I was able to adapt to my LG harness, so I'm keeping my URCO810 as a compressor debugging tool. Item as described. Fixed my 20 year old fridge in 20 minutes.
Item as described. Replaced item was similar version. This one worked just fine on my old Coldspot fridge. FYI.. if your area has dirty power, you’ll end up replacing these every 4-5 years or so.

Worked as described
My freezer had a start up capacitor in it but the relay died. Just bypassed both of them with this and my chest freezer was up and running. 15min job and definitely cheaper than calling a repair guy. Just be careful any time you are dealing with capacitors they are still dangerous after the appliance is unplugged.

Amana side by side...
Original starter burned a hole out the bottom on my inlaws side by side. Tested compressor as per instructions on various sites. Installed it and the original run capacitor. Starts with out fail! Reminded me of the Maxwell Engine Start module that i bought for my semi. Wondering why starting caps are not more widely used. Oh i know why- so they get replaced sooner!

Easy plug and play
I was searching for a fix to my dead refrigerator. I thought the compressor had gone out but someone told me it could very well be the condenser/motor starter. I came across this fix which was a combination of both condenser and starter already wired for installation. It was a very inexpensive setup. Thought I would give it a try. It took all of about 15 minutes to install. I plugged it in and it took right off. The refrigerator has been working great for the last month. I quickly got another one for my freezer which has the same application. I ready for a repair at any time.
