Is what is advertised
A few reviews had me worried about what I was buying here, but what I received is exactly what is advertised. Namely, four 25.5" sections of fiberglass tent poles that are 7mm in diameter. I measured them with my calipers and tape before I even opened the package. I only needed three of the sections and cut them down to the length I needed. No problem. I used the two end pieces, two connectors, and shock cord as well. So the kit came with everything I needed with some parts to spare. I'm a happy camper.

Good kit to replace Coleman tent door poles
It fit my Coleman 10 person tent door perfectly without needing any trimming. I did end up taping the rubber end caps on so they would not get stuck in the tent each time. It's a little stiffer than the stock poles.

Good repair
I was able to repair the rainfall flap for my old 11 person tent. It was easy to do and is just like the original poles.

Just What I Needed to Extend The Life of My Tent
These replacement pole sections work very well for replacing split sections in my 25 year old tent. However, it was difficult to thread the elastic through the small holes with the metal tool included in the kit. I ended up dropping dental floss on a heavy needle through each section, tying that onto the elastic, and pulling the elastic through each section, a technique similar to how electricians pull wires. The cost did seem a little pricey for what was included in the package: four replacement sections. I needed two kits for one tent.

Sturdy replacement pole for tents or blinds.
These carbon fiber poles are a great replacement if on breaks. I had a set break on a ground blind the first week it was out. I replaced one section of pole with the spare that was included in the kit. It promptly broke the next day. I purchased this kit and replaced the enitre pole with this kit. I had to cut one pole to make the total length correct. 48 hours of high winds (Gusts of 50 MPH) and the blind is still up. A trick I learned with cutting carbon fiber rods (Arrow shafts or tent poles, etc) is to use a rotory tool (dremel etc) to cut the shafts. The include instructions recommend using a hack saw with a fine blade. If you do that, score the entire diameter of the shaft to get a clean cut and prevent the pole from splitting. Shock cord and a tool for stringing the cord is included with the kit, along with the metal connectors and end pieces to cap off the pole when it is all put together.
