WORKS OK
I build wood racks, I cut oval hand grip holes in the sides and have been looking for a way to shape and smooth the holes with less hand work. I bought a set of these and they work ok. The sandpaper provided is only one grit and it's too coarse for finish work so I still need to do a lot of fine sanding by hand to make the hand grips really smooth. I was able to shape four hand hole cutouts with only a single 1" tube and the sanding tube still feels rough like it would do more holes. I'll have a new batch of racks coming out next week so I will test them more then. The sandpaper is very easy to install on the mandrels. I used them with an electric drill at about 1800 rpm, you need to use both hands on the drill to guide them but the sanders to do the job of rough shaping adequately. I wish they had different grades of sandpaper for them. I need some #150 and would really like some #200 or #220 for fine work, then these would be 5-star.

Make sure to screw the tip to adjust shaft thickness
My apologies for the pun in the title. Product itself is decent - lack of any documentation hurts it in this case. The sandpaper pieces slip over the shafts just fine, but they neglect to mention you need to adjust the shafts' thickness in order to hold the paper sturdy. I used the big drum to round off outside edges on a recent project, but the sandpaper wears somewhat easily. They're cheap, so that's not really a knock - they did the trick. Recently got a Ryobi spindle sander on CL for $50 and these mostly occupy the drawer now. Great fix in a pinch if you've only got a drill press. Recommended.

They need to stiffen up the rubber and it would be MUCH better. Some of the grits are not as advertised ...
With tools, most of the time, you get what you pay for. This is true here. It didn't cost much and should serve the intended purpose adequately enough. Beefs: the black rubber inside is so soft (too soft) that it is difficult to make the drum attach tightly enough to the spindle. You have to compress the the material many time over what it took for an older unit I used to have. They need to stiffen up the rubber and it would be MUCH better. Some of the grits are not as advertised - will still work, not a huge deal for me, but just be advised you might not be getting exactly what is advertised.

Great for the price!
Great product for the price! One problem I've had is the grip of the sanding tubes to the rubber mandrels, though...just beware of the tension you apply to the papers so that you don't split them and don't push them too hard as when the sanding tubes slip on the rubber shafts, the rubber heats up real fast and may destroy the mandrel.

Awesome for the price
These were just what I needed. My old Craftsmen drill press is now a small spindle sander with these attachments; I am shaping knife handles at the moment. I doubt I will use all 4 sizes for what I build but it is nice to have the small drums for tight spaces when needed in addition to the large 2" drum that sees the most use. While I have not successfully found replacement sanding drums at my Home Depot or tool stores locally, they are available here on Amazon. Like some reviewers mention, you simply tighten the nut which expands the rubber drum This ensures the sandpaper is snug and won't come off. I have nad no issues.

Ice alternative to a dedicated sander
Had a project that required some sanding of an inner surface, did not want to buy a dedicated sander for one project. This kit worked perfectly in my mid sized drill press. No real issues and I would buy again

Works great, but dimensions are slightly misleading.
The sanding drums work as advertised. However, it should be noted that the sizing is inaccurate once the sandpaper is placed on the drum. For example, the 1/2" drum measures about 15/32", but the drum with the sandpaper measures 5/8." It will not fit into a 1/2" space.

Very poor build quality, measurements misleading
These things arrived only half assembled. Each spindle needed its nut tightened to keep it from spinning freely. Also measurements are for the spindle-only. If you add the sandpaper you're going to see the diameter increase by 2 or 3 mm. Finally, sandpaper sleeves don't seem to fit the spindles. Some are too small and don't fit on, others are too large and slide right off. I suspect these will be ending up directly in the garbage.

Too much run out
For the price maybe this is what I should have expected. First there is too much run out on all 4 drums. It's impossible to hold your piece of work against the drum without significant chatter. Second there is on markings on the sandpaper so I have no idea on the grit, third there is glue residue on some of the sleeves (see photo). My recommendation would be to spend some more money on a set that has less run out. I can live with the rest but the run out makes any accurate work impossible

Useful addition
build quality is good, drums are straight and sandpaper sits tight. it's useful addition to a drill, sometimes this is only tool you can use to get job done. I'm, a little concerned that I won't be able to find replacement sandpaper when those in the kit ran out but I don't expect it to happen any soon.

Works for me!
This set worked very nicely for me. I attached the drums to my drill press and the sandpaper did its job. I really like that there are multiple sizes provided in this set. I was able to easily work with wider and tighter contours of my project with a simple change of the sanding drum. The sandpaper seems to hold up well and hasn't fallen apart. For the price I think this was a great value. A fine sandpaper would have been nice but for what it is I still give this 5 stars.

Tough Little Sanders
These are some tough little sanders. They don't come in super refined grits...these are medium...but they do the job! I've used them in my drill press and on my cordless drill for high-speed sanding on curves and they really do the trick.
