several months later......... both still do their job my wife has the HLs and knows which ones are "hers" my daughter has the pink Champions and as well tell her to get her eyes and ears and she gets "her" set every time the pink ones my wife .... not so much for pink so the HL "dusty rose is perfect to her" still 5 stars for each set from the pics and reviews my My wife and daughter could not decide on these: Champion Ballistic Passive Ears and Eyes Combo (Pink)$23.76 or these: Howard Leight R-01727 Women's Shooting Safety Combo Kit $22.95 so I purchased 1 of each and let them pick when they arrived for not caring which to choose b4 I bought them they both knew instantly which set was "theirs" both are packaged well both offer basically the same protection 25 - 26 both include safety glasses both had free shipping when I purchased them the muffs: Champions are as PINK as the pics bright clear and attractive the headband is cushioned, and it can be stowed in a compact fashion they weigh 10oz on my postal scale Passive, NRR 26dB noise reduction the HLs are not as "purple" as the pics most said they are brown, brownish, brownish with a purplie haze...... HL says they are dusty rose - more dusty than rose, for sure - a very unique color headband not cushioned like the champions, but just as easy to adjust and stows compactly the ear cups are slimmer than the champions they weigh 7 oz on my postal scale Passive, NRR 25dB noise reduction the glasses: the champions are clear with color pinkish red @ the ends of the temples is it such a big deal they do not perfectly match the muff color?? to some I guess it does however the muff covers most of the colored part anyway. the temple is wider @ the hinge maybe offering more side protection also a nice little sleeve is included to put the glasses in when not in use the HLs - these are also clear lens - with a color across the top and full temples which more closely matches the muff color - again if it really matters........... these are slightly smaller than the champions and have narrow temples compared to the champions so does one win over the other - both offer comparable ear protection - (which we also use earplugs in addition to earmuffs when shooting indoors, and usually outdoors as well) both are uniquely colored and attractive to most females (?) both include safety glasses As a father with more care for how it works over how it looks after several months of use they are pretty comparable separated by some minor details and color.

Good fit, lightweight, nice price
Took my first gun safety class last weekend, and as soon as I put on my glasses and earmuffs my instructor (also a woman) said, "I used to have that same set until one of my students forgot to return the glasses. I loved it!" Well, that's a pretty good endorsement if you ask me. I also talked to some guys at a local sporting goods store who had good things to say about Howard Leight products. The glasses are super lightweight and the earmuffs were quite comfortable. It was my first time at the range and I wasn't sure how loud it would be, so I put little foam earplugs in my ears first. Trust me, as someone who usually jumps at sudden loud noises I was just fine, so the noise reduction factor must be pretty decent. Some of the other reviewers found the glasses to be too small, but they were fine for me and they did not fog up at all. The only reason I gave the set 4 stars out of 5 was that I wanted them to be purple like the picture, which is completely subjective. Some other web sites call them dusty rose, but even that indicates more pink than they are in person. (If I had to describe them I'd say a brownish maroon.) Still, they did the job and are cuter than your basic safety goggles and earmuffs, so I'm happy with them.

Almost Great
I was quite pleased with this purchase. You never know what you're going to get when you by things online and because I'm new to shooting for fun at the range, I didn't know brands or anything like that. I saw another review say the product they received was nothing like the color in the picture, but that was no problem with me. It's purple in the picture here and it was purple when I received it. It was nice to add a little color into such a "dude bro" environment. Glasses worked fine and didn't fog up, which was actually a problem I'd had with the glasses they provide at the range I frequent. The only reason I didn't give this combo 5 stars was because the ear protection could be better insulated. I found the shooting activity to be louder than when I wore the protection the range provided. But on the plus side, my range carries this same combo set (which I didn't realize until I went in the other day with this set already in hand) and I paid $7 less here on Amazon. Plus, it was nice to see that I picked a set also sold at a fancy new range.

Great Sound Protection (Color is wrong)
I bought this set for my girlfriend who wanted her own pair since we have been shooting frequently together. She says they fit well and are not uncomfortable after long periods of use. The glasses are ok, but we really haven't used them since we shoot mostly outdoors and use tinted shooting glasses. They caught her eye because of the color and I like them because you can't go wrong with Howard Leight, which is what I use because they offer great protection and are comfortable for a good value. I would give them 5 stars for the form/function but they lost a star due to the color being not what is advertised. We have tried to put a color on them and as close as we can see it looks like a shade of dark purple, almost plum. Some people here have commented that they are brown and the ones we received are not brown. For the value I would recommended them if you are up for a surprise on the color being wrong.

Great set for price and comfort
I have been using my Husbands old ear protection at the shooting range and decided it was time for a change, I loved these from the first time I tried them! Comfy and fold up small, no more adjusting my hearing protection I barely know they are on.
