these went in ok, a tad off on the slit, but did function well and got the old 7HP Tecumseh back a puttin along, very early model and I took a chance on these fitting even as the book serial numbers did not show any part availble for the tiller I have. Good to have the old stuff that last 45 years tho ...

When I installed these in my old Tecumseh-powered lawn edger, it wouldn't fire - no spark at all. Took it apart a second time and measured the points with an ohmmeter. Even though the points were closed, the resistance was very high. So I ran them across my wire wheel, reinstalled them, and now they work great. Apparently the manufacturer oils these points so they won't rust on the shelf. I recommend you wire wheel them or at least clean them with alcohol right out of the bag. I generally replace the points every spring, and I always buy this kit. Next year I'll clean them before installing.

Easy replacement for easier starting
Works well on my old cub cadet. I adjusted timing with an ohm meter and was on my way. I re-used the old mounting bracket from my old condenser to fit the original mounting, so don’t toss the old one until you check the fit.

Clean the points
Great product. The points and condenser were shipped fast. Now one thing to remember when receiving the point is to make sure you clean them off. They come with some kind of rust preventative on the points. This is easily solved by a little fine sand paper. Everything fit as expected in my 3hp Sears Gamefisher.

Perfect replacement for tecumseh points setup
Used these on a 10hp and a 7hp tecumseh engines. They install like the original parts. Make sure to clean all surfaces for good contact. These replaced 20 plus year old worn out original points and condensers on two snowblowers (I ordered 2 sets). These are the Origon name brand. Two snowblowers back to life!

works good
points went in easy however the insulator does not slide in completely so I used the old one & pushed the old bolt out & the new bolt & points into the old plastic insulator. engine runs great now

Work fine.
Fit and worked fine on 1976 8 hp Tecumseh snowblower motor. Important to keep wires tucked away from flywheel, and not pinch them behind ignition module (don't ask how I know)
