Didn't work with our 1-1/8" granite counter top....

Would have been better if the threaded tube had been long enough to span the thickness of our granite counter top. Needs to have a threaded tube at least 1-1/2 inches in length. If your counter top is less than 3/4 inch, you should be OK.

Good quality and matches color of faucet and water spout

Perfect match to their water spout we just purchased and also to the oil rubber bronze kitchen faucet. Nice to be able to fill from the top. A small funnel helps.

Broke in 5 Months...

I bought this in May of 2014 and already its broke. The pump no longer pumps, it's frozen and jammed. There is a rubber O ring and it looks like it came unwedged from wherever it once lived and jammed everything up. Such a disappointment! Follow up - 10/26 - I've sent 2 emails to Kingston Brass, one to tech support and one to their general inquiry email address and I didn't get a reply back from either. I simply asked how I could order a new pump as I didn't see it available on their website. Not even a reply back! :(

Just barely happy

Finding a brass colored dispenser was tough. This was the only one available. It works fine but but does not dispense much liquid with each pump.

Very nice, sturdy

Very nice, sturdy, durable. And the price was great. I put these in the bathrooms at our association pool. We had several cheap plastic dispensers before and they just break. Several people have commented that it doesn;t dispense a lot on each pump but we find that advantageous as it helps reduce waste.Also note that you cannot use thick gel-type soaps as most dispensers will not pump these. And it may be tricky to get it to prime the first time - Hint: prime it with water first, or a thinned out solution of soap and water.

Unfortunately this will NOT work.

I love this soap dispenser. I waited a long time to post this. The HUGE problem is that the threaded piece that goes down thru your countertop (where the bottle attaches underneath ) is NOT long enough. I have normal thickness granite countertops. You cannot snug the washer/nut/bottle up tight enough and what ends up happening is the soap is soaking into the granite around the base of the dispenser on top and it looks wet all the time. I went to Lowe's to see if I could find a longer "tail piece", he called it a nipple, I don't know what to call it, but they did not have one. So we took it off, and now have a hole in the counter top, no dispenser, and I guess we can only buy a new one. If anyone knows of a solution, PLEASE reply. But other than that, I love the look of it and WISH it would work correctly.

Did not work, had to return :(

This is a faulty product. I bought this to match my Kingston faucet for our kitchen which we love and it matched perfectly. Beautiful quality material and design. Installed it easily and put the soap in - and low and behold once the soap gets into the pump the pump cannot bounce back and actually pump soap out. It just does not work. I bought two of these one for dish soap one for hand soap - both failed equally. I tried it with Dawny dishsoap (regular kind) and with some basic liquid hand soap. Nope, nope. Very disappointing since we really liked the way it looked and matched our faucet :( A friend said maybe we should have tried diluting the soap and if its more watery then the pump does not have to work as hard. But I had already returned it and ordered a different branded product that works perfectly with any soap.

Looks Good - Doesn’t Work

The unit is fairly solid and nice looking. Unfortunately the one we received stop pumping after about 20-30 pumps. The nozzle would not return to the up position after being depressed to deliver soap. It basically got stuck in the down position. I rinsed out the pumping mechanism and it eventually started to work again after being cleaned of soap. However once I inserted it back into the soap container the same issue occurred. Looking at the mechanism the return spring is not strong enough and or the soap I’m using is of such a high viscosity the mechanism is not able to break the vacuum. It appears to me there is some binding going on. Anyway too bad and am also assuming this same mechanism is in all Kingston Brass dispensers so will avoid these altogether.
