Great product no issues soldering in
Nice shiny brass on the inside, oil rubbed bronze on the outside. Brushed the inside with the fitting brush, fluxed and soldered like any other valve of this type would, no issues. Seems to be a good valve with the finish that matches oil rubbed bronze fixtures pretty well. 1/4 valve operates smoothly. So far so good.

Scratches
The stop valve looks and works great and fits standard hosing for the toilet. The only trouble is, you have to lift the trim cover high on the piping before installing to the correct depth. When you do that, the trim cover scratches the pipe. I doubt people using the toilet are going to be inspecting, but it is an unfortunate design flaw.

Installation looks great. It does require soldering. I also had to bend the tabs on the escutcheon to keep it from marring the finish on the tube. Compression fittings are definitely easier to install, yet don't look nearly as good. I've installed these in three bathrooms with no issues.

Do not buy. Ended up having to toss the entire thing and buy a traditional supply line and painted with bronze spray paint. There are NO instructions as to how to connect it to the copper piping. We talked to plumbers, hardware store employees, everyone complimented on how beautiful it was BUT no one could figure out how to attach it, except to solder it on ... and guess what? It wouldn't solder on. It also scratched so super easily, just from putting the flange on there were marks that couldn't be rubbed off and I'm super careful and concerned about things like that...I really don't like marred up things. Its certainly beautiful but a waste of time, money, hopes and dreams!!!
