We didn’t plant to have it for this long!!! Love it

The media could not be loaded. I bought this in Dec 2013, new and complete. It was easy to assemble and it looked exactly like in the listing picture. Around 2017/18, 2 girls, the green chair was laying on the floor and my 5-6 yo, 50+lb, stepped on the back and it broke. My husband trashed it. After that, eventually the kids managed to break the back of all of them, they’re replaced by a piece of 2x4 (pink and blue chairs) or scrap wood (yellow chair). They are sturdy and have survived more than 3+ years. My kids use this table for everything, eating, homework, crafts, games, Lego, playing with little dolls like magic clips, coloring, painting, etc…. Despite the back of the chairs had broken, that was due to someone stepping on it, what isn’t supposed to be done. My family, parents, aunts, brother and sister, nieces and nephews, our friends kids or even our friends have sat on those chairs. My husband was 300 lbs and used to seat on them, I always used them even if we just run out of chairs in the house, I’m 215lbs. They are in need of a good cleaning, some dark spots you see won’t come off anymore because those are scratches. We have never repainted them, I think it’s about time we do that. 9 years has passed and we still use and love this set. Kids are now 7 and 10 yo.

Beautiful but has quality control problems.

The table & chairs are beautiful. This product design deserves a 5 star score. Kidkraft makes incredible products for children. However, their quality control department needs an upgrade. Thus, I'll give it 3.5 stars (though Amazon doesn't allow .5 stars so I left it at 3 since 4 would be too much). I was simply astonished by the cracks, holes & bad paint jobs on parts of the furniture. Granted, some of you may not care since "the kids will bang it up eventually anyway." To be fair, it wasn't absolutely terrible but anyone who takes a close look will see the imperfections. From the 4 chairs & 1 table, I found about 8 chips/holes, 5 cracked areas, 3 indentations & red pen marks on the blue chair. The blue chair was wobbly because one leg was shorter than the other three, and part of the blue chair's support beam (Part 7) had not been painted and remained white (seriously?!). I mean, how hard would it be to have someone just examine all the pieces before they're boxed up? Additionally, the little stickers that have the part numbers on them are annoyingly difficult to get off. I also own the kitchen set from KidKraft and I didn't have that problem. Apparently they used cheaper stickers for this set. Please don't be cheap on the sticker quality because it is so troublesome to take them off. I had to use a wet rag to get the rest off. It took a long time. On the other hand, customer service was willing to send me all the parts that needed to be replaced which was nice. I'll have to wait and see if the new parts have these problems as well. And it kinds sucks that I have to disassemble the chairs to replace the new parts. I just think Kidkraft should invest in a new quality control manager since they are incurring costs by having to send out so many new parts (raw material, labor, shipping cost, etc). Money would be better spent on improving quality control than on that. Plus they won't have disappointed customers like myself writing these sorts of reviews. I hope someone from Kidkraft reads this & sees it as constructive criticism. I want them to continue making beautiful things for my child and future children! So let me end by saying that the set itself is gorgeous and deservedly gets lots of compliments on playdates from other mommies. But Kidkraft, please improve your quality control!! Thank you :-)

Love this little table. Cute and clean looking color scheme. We use for meals and for art or play. Has held up very well. Recommend for toddlers!

Perfect size, colors are right on, and kids love it!

Packaging: When a "small" box came on the day I was expecting this, I thought they had forgotten half the order. Then I opened the box, and lo and behold, it is just packaged VERY well. Not a single piece had a dent in it, no breaks, no missing paint, everything was perfect! Assembly: I started to assemble with three overseers - a 4 year old, 2 year old, and a 10 month old. Each was insistent that /their/ chair get assembled first. It took me maybe 15 minutes for the first chair, and 5 minutes each chair, then 10 minutes for the table. 45ish minutes total. It was SO SIMPLE. And I LOVE that everything is made so that as it gets lose, I can just tighten it up again and it will be good as new. Use: They stole the chairs out of my hands as quickly as I could finish them. Running to show it off to everyone else in the room. Thankfully, this set arrived just in time for our traditional pre-Thanksgiving Thanksgiving dinner with the in-laws. We set 4 kids between the ages of 2 and 4 at the table with their cups, plates, silverware, and... assorted "friends" whose presence had been requested (mostly transformers, but there was a pinwheel too). It ALL fit. AND the kids were stoked to be sitting at a table just their size. Thankfully, there was no arguing over colors as it seemed they fell perfectly in line with everyone's favorites. Clean-up: There was jell-o. There was candied yams. There was turkey, and gravy, and stuffing and mashed potatoes. Dumped on the table. Squished. Finger painted. Left to dry because the "adults" weren't paying enough attention. By the time I got back from my enslavement in the kitchen, the table had been abandoned for greener pastures (pie!) and was looking pretty sad. I was terrified. But I grabbed a wipe and went to work. It CLEANED RIGHT OFF. No scrubbing. No crazy hands & knees attack of the table. Just wipe, and go. FANTASTIC! I LOVE this table. It's now in our kitchen to be used as an every day dinner table and project table.

Watch for Cracks

The table and chairs are really cute and pretty heavy and sturdy. I was disappointed when I discovered that both ends of the table top had cracks in them where they are screwed. I decided to go ahead and keep the set due to a time line. It is still holding together but I know I would not have bought it like that in a store. The height of table and chairs are great. I just don't like damaged goods.

chair and table for granddaughter

we chose this Nantucket table and chair set because it looks attractive for little children and the price was excellent. We liked the 4 different colored chairs and white table. We didn't want the solid brown for children and wanted something that would be safe ,durable and kid proof. This was the best gift for our two year old granddaughter and a big hit at Christmas time. If you buy this you should have someone who is a little handy with assembling. The instructions are good and the tools are included. Everything is color coded so I found it very easy but I would say its like an IQ test for someone who hasn't used joiners and doweling. I let my friend help on the first chair and he positioned pieces backwards and in the wrong places but really wanted to be part of the experience. I let it go along and it took 1/2 hour to get the first chair done. After that I took over and had the remaining three chairs and table finished in 15 minutes. Very sturdy and attractive. I reviewed the comments from other purchasers who mentioned the table paint flaking after years of use. I sprayed 3 coats of clear gloss non-yellowing transparent acrylic on the table. It should last a million years. I also attached felt padding to the legs of the table and chairs so they slide without scratching. That may not be necessary depending on what flooring you set it on. Granddaughter gives it thumbs up so enjoy.

Solid piece of furniture

A surprise Teacher's gift for my daughter's kindergarten class. Every piece had strong fittings needed to be installed. This made for very sturdy furniture that the kids will not have issues with bending, breaking or twisting. Took over an hour to assemble, but no complaints as it was well worth it.

Sturdy table and chairs

This table and chair set is of great quality. It was easy to assemble. However the table top had two little chips and a few scratches at arrival. Would like to have only the table replaced, as the chairs are perfect. Is that possible?

DO NOT BUY

The media could not be loaded. This set is horrible quality! We purchased this 4 months ago and 3 out of 4 chairs are unusable. I am so disappointed and wished I would have listened to the reviews! Within about a month, (of course passed the return date) all the chairs backs were wobbly and as time went on the wood started chipping around the loose screws and the yellow chairs back completely came off. You can't even put the screws back in because the holes are too big for the screws now! It doesn't appear there is anywhere to contact the company either which is even more frustrating. This is going to end up in the garbage and well have to purchase new ones! I will never purchase anything from Kidkraft again. Hope this helps someone not make my same mistake because the price was right and it looks cute.
