Well I guess it does it’s job

If I was buying again I would not get this one. Bulky, easily falls apart when people open the door, worst thing is after you open it you have to make sure you lift the handle for the lock to go back into place. He’s only one so it deters him and honestly it’s hard for an adult to use.

Keeps Little Out of the Basement!

Great for keeping littles out of the garage or basement, since this is one of the few child locks I have encountered that actually lets you open the door from the other side. Easy to install too!

Easy for kids to circumvent

The media could not be loaded. Firstly, another reviewer said it only works if the door handle is in the same direction pictured. That is incorrect—it is reversible. It is written in the instructions how to reverse it. For the actual review: This was designed from the perspective of an adult trying to open the door, not a toddler. If your toddler pulls the lever down and toward them (which is likely, given how little they are, especially if the door opens inward), the top part will pop out and the door can easily be opened. We had these on the door from the time our son was 16 months. He started breaking it about a week ago, a little before 23 months. He has gotten so wise to our game of Baby Break, Mama Fix, that I found the top part in the trash can this morning. Game on, kiddo. I will be buying a different type of lock, but temporarily, I've super-glued the top part so hopefully it can't be popped out.

Waste of money

Not great, but maybe as Good as it gets

Relatively straightforward install but I had difficulty with getting the peices to snap together with the foam in place. Once installed it was perfect, right up until the whole thing became misaligned and stopped working. The handle doesn't smoothly move within the outer casing. The mechanism isn't great but it seems to be the only option out there for entry doors (where someone can enter from outside with the lock in place from the inside of the door). We've currently got ours in place without the upper lock (which now falls off, because it was removed once) as a deterrent to my child trying to open the door.

It would work, but has limited mounting options

Not very durable. A bit finicky, but it is the only Lever handle lock that we could find that wouldn’t potentially lock someone from the other side. Something important to know: this only works on lever handles with a small or round mounting plate. If you have rectangular plates, they won’t be able to be used (this is the boat we find ourselves in)

Did not work well

The small nub on the upper latch does not fit properly into the groove on the handle portion of the device. It can easily be pulled open by a toddler. Additionally the opening at the back for the door handle where it meets the door is very small and the device wouldn't close well over the handle. This wasn't a large or oddly shaped handle.

great price, good product

The media could not be loaded. Good product, although it is a bit loose on the handle but not so bad I wouldn't use it. I would suggest using the provided screws as the adhesive isn't the greatest but overall I'm happy with this purchase.

Didnt fit my door handle well. Had to take it off because it just popped off when my toddler pulled on it, I think it was due to it not fit well. And my toddler figured it out like every other door lock I can find that goes on knobs or handles. Which he has been doing since 1 1/2 now 3.
