Buyer beware

After having borrowed the largest size suitcase twice from my daughter, I knew this was the set for me! What I LOVE about these suitcases is that they fully zipper closed on one side and the other side has the full panel with clasps enclosure. Why this is important to me is because this minimizes your things sliding all around and getting messed up. What you need to be aware of is the top handle pulls are cheap. On the 2nd time using the mini suitcase, I reached into my car to retrieve it, and the top handle pulled straight out! It had split/cracked on one side and was no longer useful as a top handle. Since this was only the 2nd time I had used the mini, I contacted Amazon right away and they were able to process a full set exchange within days. So now that I've encountered that experience, I'm leary the handles will break eventually. But everything else about the luggage, I love. Because they are basic black, and bought colorful go wraps to help me easily identify my luggage.

RIGHT on the edge of max carry-on

We have a couple older Reaction max carry-ons that have served us well. This one is also well made and very light. Good interior organization options. This is RIGHT on the edge of what is actually considered max carry-on however and is larger in every dimension than our older KC luggage. I almost had to check my bag on one flight due to the size and it would not fit lengthwise in the overhead bin of one of the 777s that we flew on recently, both of our other KC carry ons fit that way. Still a very good item at a good price, but you do run the risk of having to check it depending on your airline.

Seems Durable, Perfect Size

I already have the carry-on of the Renegade Luggage in this Champagne color (I had ordered the Rose Gold by mistake-that one is very much in the pink family). The color is subtle and it's the exact size I need for just a step above a carry-on. Not too small, not too big. I've used it for car travel, and it's very durable. I haven't used it yet on a flight. I'd recommend this color and this brand.

Good quality

Needed a new checked bag and wanted to go a bit smaller (hoping I wouldn’t overpack), so I decided to give this one a try. While I haven’t used it for traveling yet, I did a “practice pack” to see if it would hold enough for a 3 week trip. I was very surprised that it easily held enough clothing and shoes for the trip with room left for toiletries that I can’t put in my carryon. Even after packing about 16 summer outfits the bag was almost 20 pounds under the maximum weight. This bag is very easy to roll and has study handles to use when picking it up. The blue grey color is pretty and should stand out from other bags on the luggage carousel. Now, I can’t wait to pack for real and see how well it works for traveling.

Quality Control Issue

I brought the Kenneth Cole suitcase set for myself earlier this year and loved it so much that I decided to purchase this luggage for my boyfriend for Christmas. The second photo is the first luggage I received before Christmas. There was a dent on the front so exchanged it for another. The first photo is the one I just received. As you can see there’s a dent on the front of this one too. There is obviously some manufacturing issue going on here. It’s too much of a hassle to return this one again so we will just keep it! Extremely frustrating!

Disappointed but not quality wise

Disappointed but not quality wise. This is my first time getting hard shelled luggage this summer. The quality is fine but what people need to know is you lose the ability to store something for quick access. At least you do in both of the ones I purchased. No little side pockets or zippers. Had I realised this it would’ve changed my mind and I would’ve bought a different type of luggage. The quality and the look of it is very nice though.

Good quality

My design comments are 1) that the extender zipper is difficult to tell apart from the main zipper so I often open the extender when I mean to open the luggage - I will put a ribbon or something on the pull - and 2) the handle wiggles a bit when fully extended. Overall I am glad I spent a bit more for a robust 8-wheeler. It has held up splendidly even in checked baggage. I like that the aesthetics are not "gendered" so everyone in the family can use it and it not garish, but distinctive enough to pick out easily at the carousel.

Not carryon forget Air Canada

This has great organizers. Wheels are great too. This was about 1.5” too deep for the Air Canada metal guides. However, the flights were full and they let us gate check the bag both ways so no one noticed.

Didnt last one trip

It looked good, a double zipper, 4 wheels, two handles! , and it seemed to fit a few more items while still fitting into the AC carryon frame, important as I travel with only carryon. I payed a little extra for what I thought would be higher quality that would last. The extendable handle is very wobbly, so didn't roll straight on four wheels; that, I would have forgiven. However, on the way to my destination (3 flights), as I lifted it onto the steps on the first flight, the end handle pulled out of its socket, the rather flimsy plastic loop (which was not visible) split in half. This would have been the first time I had used that handle, and as there are limits to the weight in carryon, it should have been fine. Placing it overhead without that handle is very difficult, and I was not going to trust the side handle not to break as well, possibly toppling the suitcase onto someone's head, a definite safety hazard. The rest of the round trip I had to get someone taller to place it overhead as there wasn't a handle to safely hold on to while raising it above my head (usually this is doable). I don't see how it could be repaired, the tab being just plastic, and of course, I came back past the returnable date, so total loss. DO NOT BUY this suitcase.

Nice if you get a deal, not super durable.

Took this on a month long trip which involved a layover in each direction. It arrived at my destination fine but on the way back the case was actually cracked near the wheels as the plane had to be repacked after something odd with another passengers luggage. The process resulted in some mishandling and the luggage was unable to go without damage. A cheep second suitcase I picked up at a market while on vacation survived without issue. Beyond that I like it.
