I’m sad! :(

I purchased these to replace my old first generation, Terradora (1) hiking shoes which have held up 3 years of dog walking, hiking and fishing. Was excited to try these new Terradora 2’s but unfortunately as you can see in the photos for some reason, the regular wider width KEEN is known for was changed to a more narrow width in this shoe. My 8.5 Terradora 1’s were excellent right out the box, fix perfect, no breaking in needed, but these Terradora 2’s are tight both width wise and length wise. Not the same 8.5 as my first pair. I am exchanging these for a size 9 and hoping that’ll work. We will see UPDATE: The 9’s were much better for toe spread, but after walking up and down the stairs in my house I realized they felt clunky, not a lot, but, enough to make me feel uncomfortable to wear this shoe on slippery rocks when hiking. I want to be sure footed, so I returned the 9’s too, because I don’t want to hike in what felt like Ugg’s. Luckily I found two pairs of the old Keen Terradora leftover at two different local stores. Keen, you really backtracked with this shoe!

Great Hiking Boot For Narrow Foot

Extremely comfortable and love the style! This hiking shoe is meant for someone with a narrow (size A) foot, I recommend getting sized at an outdoor sports store, as I had no idea that was a thing before almost purchasing the wrong size boot which luckily was corrected by a helpful REI employee before it could lead to a not so great hiking experience.

Great hiking boot

First time I wore them, I went on a 6 mile hike on The Crow Hill Ledges and they felt great,no problems with pressure spots or tightness in the toe area. Very comfortable boot. I would recommend to friends and family.

Way too small

Have always worn an 8. Ordered 8, too small. Ordered 8.5 too small. Gave up on that model since I lost the additional fees

Great Hiking Boots

These Keen women's Terradora 2 mid height hiking boots seems to fit me better which surprised me. I usually wear an 8 and I checked and that's the size I have had previously. Perhaps my feet were swollen today when I was trying shoes on. These hiking boots are very comfortable and waterproof which is a great benefit when mud from rain is on the ground. I live on dirt gravel roads and hate to get my shoes dirty but there's really no way to avoid it. There's plenty of tread for traction on hills and mountains when you make a day of hiking. The fiber weave and rubber outside make them durable. And the inside is comfortable to wear! I have a Bernese Mountain dog and she loves to walk and run in our countryside. Sometimes I join her or take a walk with a friend. But because of Covid-19, I'm staying closer to home. These are great hiking boots no matter what terrain you're on!

a bit on the narrow side

I took off one star because these fit a bit narrower than most other boot/shoes. I don't have feet that would be considered wide enough for proper wide sized shoes, but my feet are a bit wider due to walking forward/on my toes almost my whole life. Most of the time I fit into normal sized shoes/boots/heels/sandals/etc but every so often I'll try on a shoe and it feels like the balls of my feet are a bit pinched. The good news is that these boots do break in eventually, it's just frustrating that they aren't really something I could throw on new and go on a hike without my toes going a bit tingly. Other than that, these boots are great! They're insanely light weight, they run a bit hot but definitely breathe more than my old hiking boots (and those weren't even water resistant!). Once I got them broken in, I could fully appreciate how insanely supportive they are. I can wear them all day and have way less fatigue being on my feet than wearing my normal shoes for less than half of the time.

Loved the convenience

Loved that I could order these boots without having to drive to a store. These boots are not in stock in many places so this was incredibly convenient. These do fit very narrow - not sure if they'd be available in a wide fit in the future but I would have ordered a wide because they are pretty snug. Length is good and accurate though.

Not in anyway waterproof

Walked through wet grass yesterday and these boots absorbed so much water that they are soaked right through. They have are still soaked today. I had to wring out socks. Would like to know which part is 100% leather.
