Kanu Surf Layla Beach Sport Banded - A Quality Swimsuit for Girls with Room for Improvement
I recently purchased the Kanu Surf Layla Beach Sport Banded one-piece swimsuit for my daughter from Amazon, and overall, I am pleased with the quality of the product. The swimsuit is well-made with durable materials, and the fit is true to size. The banded design is stylish and comfortable for active beach days. However, there are a few areas that could be improved. The straps tend to slip off the shoulders, which can be frustrating for active kids. Additionally, the lining in the crotch area is not as thick as I would like, which can be uncomfortable for my daughter. Despite these minor issues, I would still recommend this swimsuit to parents looking for a quality product at an affordable price.

Great suits but run small!
I have bought these suits a few times before but the bigger sizes seem to run pretty small. My girls are average (not slim, not husky) and each needed to go much larger than the size they wear. For reference: 8 year old: 68 lbs, 52”, just moved in a size 10, needed the size 12 (and could have maybe even gone larger). 11 year old: 88 lbs, 57”, just moved into size 12/14, could not fit into the size 14. I really like the quality of the material and that the neckline runs higher than a lot of suits. The patterns are really fun, too. Just know you may need to size up!

Nicely made swim suit, seems good quality & material seems a nice thickness. I have orders from this brand before & like the quality. It’s just too small. I ordered the size 12 & my 9 year old found it really hard to try on because of how tight it was & once it was on it felt so constricting. She is a little above average size but normally wears 10-12 clothes on the bottom but 9-10 on top. I’ll return & order the 14 which will hopefully be better but the sizing seems a little off.

Size up 1-2 sizes
Love the swim suit! Quality and colors are awesome! However my daughter usually wears a size 8/10 ( old navy and Justice ) . I ordered her a 12 and it barely fits length wise. She is average height but the torso length on this swim suit is very short for the size. Otherwise great buy , just be careful about sizing!

Listen to reviews that say order a size or 2 up!
This fit my perfectly. I ordered size 4T for my daughter who is turning 3 in a couple of days, she wears mostly 3T but can still fit into 2T pants and shirts, she's roughly 32lbs. She hasn't worn it in the water yet but the quality is way better than I was expecting. One thing that has been bugging me is the stitching across the chest is slightly uneven, like the sewing on one arm strap is a little bit shorter than the other.These are NOT made in New York like I saw other reviews say, mine says made in China. I bought it for $8 for one time use at the waterpark, but if it lasts, it does have a slight bit of room for her to grow over the next couple months.

Super cute suit
Super cute suit, but the colors do bleed if you aren’t careful. I had read that on another review and didn’t have it happen until I accidentally left it balled in a towel over night after my daughters swim class. The colors ran into the white, not terrible, she could still wear it but I retired it to a play suit and got another one I am more careful with for swim. The fit is really cute and age appropriate. We actually get compliments on it all the time ????????

IT WAS AN ITSY BITSY TEENY WEENY.... swimsuit for a little girl.
My daughter is almost 9 years old and in the 50% percentile for height and weight... she is as average sized as she can be. We ordered this suit in a 10 and a 12 and neither of them fit; they were too small for an average size 8 year old (almost 9)! So, we ordered a 14... it just arrived and is a teeny tiny bit loose, but fit the best of all 3, so we're going to keep this one. We are keeping the size 14 for an almost 9 year old! In department stores, a size 10 runs a little loose. These are definitely sized wrong. I gave this 4 stars because the swimsuit is really well made and has a beautiful design and print.

sizing is misleading!
I ordered a size 14 but it was laughably small. My 12-year old could not even put it on. It had to be returned.

This item is for infants or little girls, not for big girls. This is horribly small. Returning for refund. Not happy.
