Good swim suit, would buy again

I let my 2 year old daughter pick a swimsuit from Amazon and this is what she wanted. We've worn it through the summer and it has held up well through many washes. The colors are still bright and haven't faded, the suit itself looks just as good as when she first wore it a few months ago. I'm quite pleased and would buy it again in a larger size if my daughter picks it out again. There are two minor downsides. 1. the little ties have a tendency to become untied, though that doesn't affect how it fits, it just means she has strings trailing after her. 2. The swimsuit might be a little too narrow between the legs. Most of the time it is fine, but a few times it shifted position and didn't cover everything it should have. That problem is solved when she wears her swim diaper since it does cover everything.

Only 4 stars...and let me tell you why.....

Ok... 100% waterproof case: yes absolutely Took it in the pool no water got in at all. Tested it in the sink under running water...perfectly safe. 100% functional waterproof case: nope Got this case to take underwater pictures and videos of my kids... Underwater pictures did not work. The only way to take an underwater video is to star the video out of the water and then put the phone under the water. Short version: the touch screen does not work underwater and the volume buttons didn't work either to snap pictures. Videos were pretty clear and cool. Something else small that I didn't like was 1) you can't use the apple headphones to change the volume and the sound with the extension price, and 2) when I used to Apple headphone while on the phone they couldn't hear me at all.... Overall good for the price...

Niece loved the swim suit

Niece loved the swim suit. It does run a bit small. She wears a 7/8, I ordered the 8 and it fit but no room to grow. I also ordered a 10 and it fit great in the top, but was too big in the bottoms. She has an athletic build. The bottoms cover well, the top doesn't come all the way to the bottoms. There was a several inch gap on her, but this would vary in the height of the child. The suit is very pretty, brighter green than the picture shows, but I like it more in person than in the pic. Seems to be well made, and should last her until she outgrows it.

Too Tight Initially- Ordered larger size- nice swimsuit!

Purchased for my 4 year old daughter (really tall for her age) and the size was just too small. It fit her like a tight pair of underwear and it just didn't seem comfortable for swimming. We exchanged for the next size up and that fit her much better. After one wash however, it did shrink a little so it's not as roomy as I'd prefer for her. She just keeps growing like a weed so it won't last long for her. The construction and quality of materials was wonderful and it will definitely last for many years. We have used this for 5 months now and I did experience some shrinking after the first wash, but no color fading even with chlorine exposure.

Durable and cute!

These are really sturdy suits, great for the 4-8 set: they have great coverage, and kids can really swim in them. These have lasted us for now going on two summers, which has been a pleasant surprise. Tons of fun colors and patterns, and they hold up beautifully to a summer of chlorine and running gleefully through sprinklers and around a playground.

2 sizes too small. If you buy this beautiful suit, buy it 2 sizes bigger!! My daughter is a 12, she ordered a 14 because she read the reviews about it running small, but it fits like a 10 so she still can't wear it. Otherwise it is a GREAT suit! Luckily I have 2 younger daughters who will be able to wear this suit, so I'm keeping it. Its a cute suit, modest coverage, material is strong and comfortable, good value for the money, I just wish it wasn't 2 sizes too small!

I love Kanu Surf suits for girls

I love Kanu Surf suits for girls! This is the second season we are using the suits. The fit, colors, design, etc. are all wonderful and they wear very well. My daughter also says the suits are comfortable. She is lean so the fact that the suits run a tad small is to our advantage. We use the 2T size when she would be 24 months in other suits, and last year we used the 24 month size instead of the 18 month size that she wore in other brands. I do think I would have to purchase a 3T for length if we buy a full piece (my daughter is between a 3T-4T size clothes due to length to give an idea of sizing). I also like how the cut of the suits are very age appropriate.

Fits my daughter perfectly...may run small for others

My daughter is really small for her age (24 lbs, 3 yrs old). For swim wear she is wearing 18-24 months...but I took a chance and bought 2T in this swimsuit and fits PERFECTLY!!! (for regular clothes she wears a 2T) I am really happy with this...so cute! The bottom is the best part as it does not bunch up. Usually the bottom bunches to leave room for those who are still wearing swim diapers. The "bikini" bottom is a perfect fit. So if your child is average or normally wears a size larger than her age, I would order a size up.
